So how does our captain go from Wonderbolt to “Wonderblob”?

Story 1: Spitfire is forced to retire due to her age and poor treatment of her cadets. She falls into a depression, now relying on food to cheer her up, causing her to gain some unintentional weight.

Story 2: Spitfire is magically gaining weight-and isn’t aware of it, and thinks that the flab is her “muscles”, to the distraught and embarrassment of her cadets.
