Chapter #6

Shrunk, Separated, and Screwed

    by: Frost Author IconMail Icon
Yu woke up smelling the scent of strawberries. The next thing he noticed was that he was floating on some kind of heavy liquid. A bit got into his mouth, causing him to spit out the taste that was definitely not fruit. There was something about it that was oddly familiar, but he couldn’t really place it all too well. It would have helped if it wasn’t so dark.

His head rattled as he tried to remember the last few events that led to his passing out.

Teddie pushed a big red button. That about summed it up.

Sighing, Yu tried to get a feel for his surroundings. He was in some kind of pool. Of what, he didn’t know. Once again, the smell seemed to remind him of something.

“Do you think Yu-senpai got my note, Yukiko-senpai?”

Yu gripped his head. Rise’s voice was booming, surrounding him. She was somewhere nearby, most likely having access to a megaphone.

“Probably,” Yukiko answered, her voice just as booming. “Though, there’s so much to do here. I wouldn’t be surprised if he got sidetracked.”

“Yukiko! Rise!” Yu yelled, hoping to get their attention. He didn’t.

“Aw, boo,” Rise hummed. "I was hoping I could spend a day at the beach with him." Her disappointment was clear in her voice. "Anyway, can you help me apply my sunblock, Yukiko-senpai?"

Right as she said that, the world seemed to quake as a tidal wave washed over him. Light flooded the area as Yu swam to the surface. Once he adjusted to the light, he got a big hint to where he was.

In big text on the wall ahead of him, there was a giant text that read "SPF 50."

He was trapped in Rise's bottle of sunscreen.

Akihiko woke up to the stench of sweat. Although, thanks to his active lifestyle, the smell of sweat was something he was used to.

But not like this.

He immediately gagged and covered his nose. The hot, muggy air was unlike any kind of gym he had been to—and he had once trained in a crowded gym in South America with no air conditioning. He could confidently say that this was worse than any of that.

Akihiko stood up and slowly made his way to the light in the distance. Hopefully, it would shed some light on his situation.

"Akihiko-sensei's late," complained a booming voice. He quickly recognized it as Chie. But why did she sound so…

Oh god no.

He just remembered what kind of experimental tech was held inside the room. He remembered spacing out as Mitsuru brought up potential ways to capture shadows like a shrinking device and some kind of teleporter. If only he paid attention on what to do if there was a misfire.

Hurrying his pace, Akihiko ran over towards the light in the 'roof.'

Sure enough, he was staring up at the giant face of Chie Satonaka. It didn't take long for him to piece together that he was trapped in her shoe. All he could do was try to run to the edge of the tunnel the second Chie’s socked toes came into view.

He didn’t get very far.

"I don't know what I was expecting."

Yosuke sighed as he stared at the giant naked form of Labrys. He had already come to terms with he fact that he had shrunk to the size of a flea. He scanned the painfully smooth and metallic body, realizing that he'd have to climb it if he wanted a chance to even get noticed.

The now giant robot was asleep as far as he could tell, connected to some massive metal chair that seemed to be charging her. Taking this as his opportunity to act, Yosuke began to climb the seated giantess. He jumped onto her metal foot, finding it hard to find any kind of purchase to climb.

Little did he know that he was one of the luckiest of the bunch considering his placement. All he could guess was that the others were dealing with situations similar to his.
