This choice: It's every man for himself. The boys split up as the girls begin the hunt. • Go Back...Chapter #7Because Splitting up is a 'Good' Idea by: cool The two wild cards thought over their separate plans. Yu wanted to lead the girls on a chase through the city, hoping to get them to destroy most of it in the process. Minato, however, wanted to remain hidden and play the long game, just to wait out the clock. When both boys looked at their respective teammates they saw a massive flaw in their plans. While Kanji respected Yu's abilities as a leader and would follow his lead, he was very out of it when he glanced at the massive Naoto in distance, a fresh nosebleed starting. Junpei was, there's no other way to say that he was enjoying the view of the skirt-clad girls.
The group then split up, each hoping to outlast the clock, or that the girls would destroy most of the city. Whichever came first really. Yu went on with his original plan by hiding in alleyways and having the girls destroy buildings in order to get to him. Kanji, not being able to think of anything else, chose to hide in the Wild Duck Burger. Hoping that Naoto didn't find him immediately and wouldn't be disappointed with his choice. Junpei actually chose a decent hiding place in the old bookstore, knowing that Yukari and Mitsuru didn't know of his love for Manga and wouldn't look for him there. He didn't account for if they went on a rampage and destroyed everything in their path. Minato chose the park where he met Koromaru, as it was far away from most of the buildings and provided ample cover (He didn't account for finding a miniature scale replica of his parent's graves as well, which caused him to freeze up in the terrible memories of That Night.)
The plans started off reasonably well for everyone. Mitsuru and Yukari were able to get out some much-needed stress by destroying the love hotel and high school respectively. Yu was also able to get the attention of Naoto and Mitsuru on several occasions and get them to go on rampages. Naoto thought that Yu was just trying to get caught without being crushed, but after the first rampage figured out his plan, and gave him a nod of respect for it. It still took Mitsuru a lot longer then she would've liked to admit before she caught on to it as well. He was able to get the percentage up to 35, giving them some decent headway. His luck eventually caught up with him though.
He caught Mitsuru's attention and started to lead her on when a hand grabs him out of nowhere. He didn't have to look to see who caught him when he heard a very familiar cry of joy.
"I caught you Senpei," Rise says, giggling as she nuzzles her tiny leader. This time is noticeably more gentle as she doesn't want to suffocate her crush or crush him for that matter.
"How did you even sneak up on me, or find me actually?" Yu asks, flabbergasted at Rise's ability to locate him.
"I used the power of true love!" She states triumphantly, before seeing Yu's deadpan look directed at her. "I also followed a very annoyed Mitsuru, I knew you were fast so I figured you were managing to elude her."
Yu was beginning to question her further when he hears a buzzer and Teddie announces Yu's loss to the rest of the studio. This catches Naoto's attention as she immediately notices Rise being very affectionate, and figures out what happened. She shook this thought rather quickly, instead hoping on finding Kanji before he gets stomped on by Mitsuru. She does notice Yukari crawling forward, scanning the buildings as she went towards the park, hoping to find Minato and spare him the humiliation of being crushed. If she finds Junpei along the way then maybe she would go on a stomping spree.
As Yukari proceeds... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
