"You do know you didn't have to volunteer for this Kara" Lena reminds her friend as she attaches sensor pads to the blonde's head and her hands "I could have found someone else," Lena said.
"No Lena, I want to help you" Kara assures her, smiling widely as she stands before her in full Supergirl gear, she's considered going casual with yoga pants and a sports bra, but the only time this information would be relevant was while out being Supergirl, not lounging around as Kara Danvers "Plus, this new earth seems to have more magic users than the last one so it's probably best I learn how to deal with them now, rather than out in the field" she half-jokes, though both women knew she was right, besides Lena herself there have been reports of other people with strange powers that was best described as magic... as opposed to meta or alien-related shenanigans.
Lena sighs, wringing her hands nervously as she hooks up all the sensors and ensures the gear is working correctly "Last chance Kara, you can still back out and I can find someone else" she offers, hands extended as she prepares herself mentally.
"I'm not backing down, do your worst Lena!" Kara grins, probably a poor choice of words given magic seems to not only ignore a Kryptonian's fabled invulnerability, but if Clark is to be believed affects them even more so than a human, to the point if the Superfriends were fighting a magic user, it might actually be safer for everyone if Alex jumps in front of Kara rather than the other way around.
Her first clue her day wasn't going to go well was probably the fact Lena's eyes glowing a poisonous, almost kryptonite green, as her palms shine and the machine monitoring her brain started to go haywire, or maybe the dual-toned voice as she spoke her magic.
"A leithéid de fhabht beag atá agat, laghdaigh mo chuid deas síos a théann tú!"
After that was a blinding flash and Kara presumes she lost consciousness as not long after Lena was shouting her name while everything felt like she was underwater
"Kara! Oh, please wake up!" Lena boomed.
"Lena I'm fine you didn't do any..." Kara groans as she sits up and opens her eyes "oh crap" she squeaks as she realizes she was lying on Lena's desk, maybe an inch tall at the most, the newbie mage that was her best friend looking down at her nervously.
"For the record, I didn't know that was going to happen" Lena begins, though, given the way she was biting her lip, the woman didn't regret shrinking her blond friend, now smaller than even her own dolls are "But, you did sign up for this," she says with a teasing tone, mostly to keep herself from panicking.
Kara sighs, Lena was right, even if she didn't know she'd get shrunk to a tiny size she did volunteer to be a spell target so to speak, and Lena did give her the chance to back out, multiple times even "You're right Le, so what do we do now?"
Lena chews her lip, then grins "Well, there's no sense in just growing you back right away, not that I can, sorry, so I thought we could put you through a few challenges to see if the shrinking caused any other side effects, or if you're basically still the same Supergirl in an even smaller package" she chuckles.
"I, ok. What's first on the agenda?" Kara asks, having a feeling Lena, between panic attacks had already compiled a list of things she wanted to have Kara test at her current size.
Lena smiles and claps, missing Kara's wince at the loud bang so close to her tiny body "Thank you so much for this Kara, I'll owe you so much when this is over. I was thinking we could start by seeing if your _______ has been affected."
What happens?
1) "Invulnurabilty" Lena picks Kara up and pulls down her shirt revealing her large, milky white breasts before sliding little Supergirl into her cleavage. The test is simple, Lena is going to bounce and squeeze her breasts into/around Kara and all she needs to do is last the entire test without passing out of screaming for her to stop.
2) "Super strength" Lena moves Kara from the table to a chair, then pushes up her skirt and sits on the tiny alien. If her powers are still relative/intact, she should be able to lift Lena at least enough to escape from under her asscheek, and if not, well hopefully her squirming will feel as good as Lena expects it to.
3) "Super speed" Lena sets Kara on the ground and kicks off her shoes so she's barefoot. The test is that Kara can't leave the room or fly and has to avoid being pinned under her foot for 15 minutes.
4) Before Lena can explain her 1st test Kara hears an incident and flies off, her brain not quite processing her new size until she reaches the criminal and realizes a human child could beat her, never mind an adult, metahuman, or alien.
5) Lena's explanation is interrupted by Kara's phone going off, it's Alex, again. Given she knew her sister still didn't trust Lena, Kara neglected to tell her that she was letting Lena test her magic on her. This makes things very difficult for her as she can't exactly hide the fact she's 1 inch tall from her sister, crap!
