In this season, Dan is dead, stuck in hell, waiting for someone to help him find a way out.
1. Rory makes a deal with Dan and brings him up from hell. But when she does, he arrives in Earth at an inch tall, and she explains that rather than wasting his time in hell, she will take him on as her personal slave.
2. As a ghost, Dan finds himself drawn to the things he feels guilty about. First he feels bad about not supporting Trixie enough, and ends up tiny inside one of her sneakers.
3. Maze realizes that she can visit Dan in hell by taking a shift as his torturer. She is mostly there to catch up, but when Dan says he is bored and she is feeling a little nostalgic, she decided to engage in some "light torture". She shrinks him down and plays with him with her feet as she reminiscences about torturing tiny people in hell.
4. Chloe wishes Dan were back, and her slight power from Amenadiel blessing her mom is enough to summon a minor miracle: a tiny Dan is summoned, but falls into a pudding cup Chloe is about to eat.
