It's been days Jordan used his super hearing at nights to hear his mother yelling at Clark about what to do with his powers, and even his or the fortress could n't get an answer. But what hurts him the most was the fact that he realized he was treated like a monster by his own parents.
He didn't say anything to Jonathan. All he heard, he kept it for him. After days and nights trying to not "spy" on his parents anymore, jordan decided to work on prooving them he will control his powers in a way or in other.
One morning...
" hey ! Seemed you slept a lot last night. I hope you're not be late at school" Lois said as Jordan just walked down the stairs for a breakfast that his mother just prepared for him.
" oh mom, you know i start later on the wednesday" he replied in a bad mood.
" that's right i know that. But these last times i have to push you to go at school so, if there's something wrong you know you can tell me"
Jordan sat on a chair at the table, starting to eat his breakfast without saying anything.
" listen, i think you and i have to talk about your...well.. 'changings'" Lois said honnestly.
" i don't want to talk about that ! I'm fine ok ?!" Jordan got angry.
" you think you are, that's why i've decided you'll stay with me for a few days. You're not going back at school until we talk !"
" so that's it ? And you pretend to be worried i'm gonna be late at school when you know i'won't go because you just decided it ?! " The boy yelled at her, scaring his mother as his just destroyed the table with a simple slap on it.
" calm..down.. " she asked nicely.
" NOOO i won't, how can you understand me when you..." Jordan stopped, feeling dizzy. " what's going on...?"
" you think i have nothing to stand against your father, a full kryptonian if someday he gets angry and loose his cool ? What i put in your breakfast is my only protection and i'm so sorry i have to use it against my son" a tear appeared on Lois's face, as Jordan looked at his mother becoming bigger and bigger...but in fact he was the one who was shrinking.
"Mom...what did you do to me ?" Jordan asked as he stopped shrinking when was at a mouse sized.
" sorry kid" Lois honestly said. She felt so bad, but now she went so far she had to follow her plan.
" this potion made from Argus was a way to protect me from your father just in case. This also shrink your powers, so you may be still strong, but enought to handle a giant human"
Jordan was confused, how his mother could do that to him ? He felt angry and stressed right now as his mom tried to remain serious.
" i need to go to work right now and you're gonna go with me so i'm sure you don't cause any mess anywhere. I first wanted to put you in my pocket but..." lois sighed. "..knowing your resistance, i think you can handle being near my foot in my shoe"
" what?? No way ! Grow me back right now !!" Jordan's eyes get red, ready to attack his mother.
" you don't want to hurt your mother don't you ? At your size, this is pointless and you'll force me to punish you" she said calmly but with sadness.
Jordan calmed down and suddenly get picked by the giant hand of his mother and placed inside her shoe. He realized enought soon where he was, and thought that the smell was not unpleasant, he felt really humiliated and betrayed. Lois looked at him sadly from above the entrance and quickly put her foot inside, pushing the boy and trapping him under her giant toes. He struggled and screamed but it did nothing.
" sorry kid" she said mostly to herself, before putting her cloak on and left the house for and investigation, a story to write where a mother just found her lost son 20 years ago. A boy who disappeared from Smallville. This was a story she wanted to write, and who knows maybe she could find an answers somehow to how to deal with her own son, the one she never could get along with, and before his powers.
1) follow the story. Lois is on the field for an interview with the mother
2) Jordan is stronger than expected at this size and escaped
3) Lois doesn't want to cover the story and goes to the office for something else
4)Lana comes to meet Lois before she leaves, to talk about Sarah and Jordan
