That made it twice that she had wetted the bed. “What is wrong with me?” She asked herself. “If Sonic finds out I’ve been wetting the bed, he’ll make fun of me.” She thinks for a bit. “I know, maybe the doctor might know.”
Dr. Widewings, a Mobian condor, had been Amy’s doctor since she was a little girl. She would often visit him for examination on health or physicality. Upon calling him about her bedwetting, he was happy to schedule an appointment with her. While Dr. Widewings examined Amy, they would often talk about their problems. “Rona’s on that vacation you told me to recommend for her.” He said, moving some quills back. “Said she’ll get you a souvenir.”
“That’s nice of her.”
“So, how are things with you and Sonic?”
“He still insists on being a friend. I don’t know when he’ll settle down.”
“It takes time.” Dr. Widewings then spotted a minor scar underneath her quills. “I see the scar had settled in, and it might be the problem.”
“What do you mean?”
“When you suffered that head injury during that last battle against Eggman, he may have also struck your cerebral cortex, which is part of the brain to tell you when to go to the bathroom.”
“Can it be fixed?”
“It’ll take some time, Amy.” Dr. Widewings heads over to his desk, writes a note and hands it to her. “Go to my brother’s pharmacy in Station Square, he’ll know what to do.”
She takes it and leaves the room. “Thanks, Dr. Widewings.”
“Anytime. Try telling Sonic I said hello.”
Arriving at the pharmacy, Amy felt uneasy as there were both humans and Mobians, who would recognise her in a heartbeat before a middle aged Mobian condor approached her. “Amy Rose?” He asked.
“Yes?”
“Spread told me you were coming. Right this way.” Amy and the pharmacist head toward an aisle, which was currently vacant as the pharmacist read the note. “Minor head trauma induced bed wetting? Wow, must’ve been a tough battle.”
“What is it Dr. Widewings recommended?”
“You’re not going to like it, but it has to be done.” They stop by an aisle where there was products for incontinence and bedwetting. To Amy’s shock, there was also stacks of diapers.
“Diapers?”
“That’s what he said.”
“But I’m not a baby. There has to be something else.”
“I’m afraid it’s the only solution, Miss Rose.”
Amy looks at the stack of diapers before lowering her head. “Okay, I’ll take one packet.”
“Excellent. Spread’s also saying he’ll pay for the first one, seeing as you’re a good friend of his.” The pharmacist then spotted a certain packet of diapers before grabbing it and shows it to Amy. “This one’s got Sonic on them, just brought in.” Amy puts a finger to her mouth.
