The halls of the museum echo with your murmuring as you find yourself only a few inches tall after coming in contact with one of the exhibits that was supposedly cursed.
As a security guard, you were assigned the late night shift to patrol the museum in response to other museums having break ins occur over the past two months. However, you were checking over a new exhibit featuring cursed relics and it seems as though you may have gotten a bit too close to one of them.
"Great," you huff to yourself. "Now I'm stuck here until the morning shift gets in."
While many would be panicking over the fact that they're tiny, you can't find any reason to do so. You know that Hank Pym would probably be able to help you with something like this, so all you needed to do was get your situation on the news to get his attention, an easy enough feat given your predicament.
Of course, it seems like lady luck isn't on your side. As soon as you decide to stay put, you hear something on the roof just as one of the glass panels above is removed completely.
"Huh. No guard tonight," a feminine voice murmurs as a figure descends from the ceiling. "Guess it's my lucky day."
As the light from the moon hits the person, you're quickly able to recognize that the intruder is Black Cat, a thief/occasional vigilante native to New York. It's clear that she has come to steal from the museum if the burlap sack she's carrying is any indication.
"Damnit. Why does this have to happen on my shift?" you begin to move to hide in the shadows. Of course, you're somehow heard by the burglar, who whips her head towards your location.
"Who said that?" she questions, her sharp gaze narrowed as she tries to get a glimpse of you.
It's at this point that you're left with a conundrum. On one hand, you could not say anything and hope that she doesn't find you. After all, while Black Cat has been known to partake in heroics from time to time, she's also known for stealing rare things. Being a tiny person, you would most likely fall under that definition.
On the other hand, there is a chance that she'd be willing to help you. It's not like you have any intrinsic value like the things she usually takes. It may be more valuable to help out a guard in hopes that they'd be willing to look the other way in the future.
Either way, what you decide to do right now will have a huge impact on how things go for you for a good while.
