“Tiny adorable friend?” you repeat, blushing a bit. “Well, I don’t know if I’d call myself adorable, but thanks for the compliment. But... is that really it? You’ll let me stay with you, and you’ll help me out, and all I have to do in return is just be your friend?”
“Of course, silly!” Coeur says, still smiling. “Did you think I’d force you to be my pet or something like that?”
“That idea crossed my mind,” you admit.
“Well, I definitely wouldn’t do that to you. That would be quite rude of me. You’re clearly in a tight spot, so I shouldn’t take advantage of you. Besides, you’re so small, it won’t be a bother to keep you with me at my home. So you shouldn’t feel like you need to repay me.”
You smile widely and thank the Gardevoir. You’re overjoyed at this turn of events. Sure, you’re still tiny and trapped in a world that’s supposed to be fictional... but this Gardevoir is very kind and generous, and you’re confident that you’ll be safe with her.
Coeur giggles as you smile at her. “It’s no problem,” she says. “Now, let’s get home.”
The Gardevoir reaches up with a green hand and gently grabs you out of her telekinetic grip. You’re a bit startled to feel her hand close around you; it’s a different sensation from being held by her psychic powers. Her telekinesis just created an aura around you and made you feel a bit weird and tingly, but her hand creates a firm pressure all around you that makes you worry about being squeezed too hard.
“Are you okay?” she asks, apparently having noticed your nervousness.
“I’m okay,” you reply. “It’s just a bit scary to get grabbed by a giant Pokemon…”
“Well, I promise to be careful with you,” Coeur says softly. “You’re safe with me.”
Sure enough, Coeur’s grasp is noticeably gentle. She’s being careful not to hurt you. She lowers you to her midriff and begins floating along, only a couple inches above the ground. You glance up, looking past the red protrusion on her chest and up at her face. She’s focusing on the forest around her, instead of you. Perhaps she’s scanning for any potential threats, like that Poochyena from before.
“Why were you in this forest, anyway?” you ask after about a minute of traveling.
“I just wanted to eat some apples,” Coeur says, glancing down at you. “I finished that, so I was on my way home, when I sensed something strange nearby. That’s how I found you.”
“Okay. And we’re going to your home now, right? Where do you live?”
