Chapter #6

A World with one major Sole difference.

As Midna continued searching through the worlds, one eventually caught her eye. She didn't really know why it did so, from the looks of things there seemed to be nothing interesting to it from just slightly peering into it. However, using her powers to look a bit deeper revealed an interesting anomaly in this world.

It seemed like every single living thing in this world went around barefoot, very much like the Twilight Princess herself. She couldn't find a single piece of footwear in this world not even the idea that it could have ever possibly existed. Upon looking a bit deeper, she also saw that this world had an ingrained history and love of feet and foot-related activities like Foot Worship and the monsters that existed in this world loved to dominate others with their feet and even liked to play with the feet of those they knocked unconscious. Midna licked her lips, her own toes wiggling in excitement. This seemed like it'd be a very fun world to mess with Link.

Entering the world, Midna quickly realized that this Hyrule seemed to be extremely peaceful with no villain or big disaster threatening it. That was fine with Midna of course, she would become the big threat that Link would have to defeat. Since there seemed to be no Ganon in this world, she decided to give herself the Triforce of Power to complete the triad and essentially take up that role.

Next, Midna created an elaborate and dark floating Castle in the sky which she decided to name the Palace of the Setting Sun. It floated above Hyrule Castle and the surrounding town, entrapping the entire kingdom in a large barrier and essentially taking a young Princess Zelda and everyone living there. Then she placed Six Crystals in Six Dungeons around Hyrule, the Endless Jungle, Death Mountain Caverns, the Water Palace, the Gerudo Catacombs, the Whirlwind Fortress and the Twilight Forest. These crystals would allow Link to enter the town and attempt to save the Princess. Now all she had to do was find the Link of this world and get him off his butt to start his journey.

Soon enough, she found herself at this Link's hometown, a small Hylian Village called Toria. The 14 year old boy seemed to live a simple farming life, having been adopted by Talon after his parents died and being raised as the brother of Malon. Midna watched Link do some menial labor alongside Malon for a bit, noting how dirty both of their feet were as they took care of the farm animals.

Now Midna just had to think of what would get Link to start his journey, she did know a lot of Links started their journey being by egged on by an annoying little "helper" whether that be a fairy or even in the past herself. But...kidnapping someone close to him could also get the little Hylian off his butt and ready to go on an adventure...
