Lisa noticed that Tommy wasn't about to stop for her. The only safe place nearby that she could hide did at least seem to be the safest: The hot wheels cars. The closest one was a red Corvette with a black stripe down the middle. Lisa wasn't all that into cars, the model didn't much matter to her; only that it could protect her from the giant feet that were coming ever-closer.
Climbing in the hollow window, she felt at least marginally safer, having stepped on one of Derek's hot wheels once: She knew that it most definitely hurt the owner of the foot and didn't damage the tiny car.
She mentally prepared herself for the worst-case scenario: That she was going to get sent down the track, through a speed booster, and probably lose her lunch.
