Mike agrees to be the mascot

Mike rubbed the bridge of his nose in frustration and sighed.

"Give me the stupid costume..."

Steven shoved the uniform into Mike's open arms. "Dude, thank you so much. You're a lifesaver Mark."

"It's Mike-"

"Okay so the game starts in thirty minutes."

"Thirty minutes!" shouted Mike.

"It's fine, it's fine, just get in the costume and head over to the football field. When you're there, just head onto the sidelines. Walk around, wave a little, everybody will love you."

Before Mike could protest, Steven had already dashed out the door and into the parking lot. Mike looked down at the mascot outfit, an enormous cartoon eagle, and felt a lump in his stomach. Suddenly, he remembered the time.

"Shit!" Mike grabbed the costume head and raced towords the football field. He could throw the costume on...
