Barry Clearglade was trapper roaming the wilds of upper Canada looking for beavers so he could get there pelts. He had more different animals making up his clothes then most people had in their diets and a very large and wild beard of flame red.
He saw a huge flash of light, he turned towards it. A few sounds later there was a massive Bang.
In the distance he saw huge amounts of earth and rock and trees and bushes thrown into the air.
Even though it wasn't a particularly smart idea he went towards it.
He soon reached the crater. Looking around he didn't see all the dead animals he expected and was looking for. Instead several deer about a dozen rabbits and a wolf had gathered together around something at the centre of the crater.
All the animals were so close together with no sign of agitation. Something weird was going so he put aside his usual instinct to start collecting the pelts. There were spirit or witches or something going on around here, he sure didn't want to pick a fight with supernatural forces, well maybe if beavers were involved somehow.
The animals moved to the side leaving a gap for Barry. Barry suddenly fells like he is being welcomed, he moves up to the gap.
He sees what's a the centre of all this. A potato shaped rocks with many streaks of different types of metal running through it. Ever now and again little bolts of electricity jump between the veins of metal. The rock gives off a gentle heat and he has the odd notion that it is friendly.
He gets the notion to touch the rock from somewhere, then he does.
He gets the image of the rock in somewhere cold dark and very very big and empty. He senses the rock is traveling very very fast and has been doing so for a very long time. He feels the rock is lonely and has been lonely for much longer then he thinks the universe has been around. He follows the rock as it approaches a flaming ball of gas, the sun. He then sees a small blue dot. The dot gets bigger and bigger, patches of green and white become visible and grow larger. He recognises the shapes from maps, its the earth. It gets closer and closer and the rock it filled with joy and expectation. It then slams into the earth.
The rocks blasts out some sort of energy that resurrects and heals the nearby animals. The rock feels joy as the comforts the animals around it, but it senses something more is coming and it is very excited. As Barry gets closer the excitement continues to rise. When Barry touches the rock the joy is so intense that it breaks the vision to pieces.
"Well then, hello had welcome to Earth," greeted Barry Cordially.
Nobody noticed it but the rock then gave a little shiver and grew a millimetre wider.
