Ginny glanced around, making sure that no one was looking at her before slipping Harry's shrunken figure down the shaft of her boot. She was sure that he would be safe and out of sight there.
"Okay, Harry. Stay put and don't move around too much." Ginny whispered, hoping that he could hear her from inside the boot, "I'll come back for you as soon as I can."
Harry, on the other hand, was not so sure about the safety of his new location. He was now in a dark and cramped space pressed against Ginny's calf, and sweat-slickened skin was quickly causing him to slip further and further down her leg as she walked. The young wizard tried to move around and signal her in some way, but he was pressed flat against her, smooshed and pinned in the sweltering space.
"Ginny, I don't think–mmmph–this is a good idea!" Harry yelled, "It's too cramped and dark in here." Harry yelled, but his voice was muffled by the inside of the boot.
Ginny had now boarded the train, and she couldn't hear Harry's voice. She was making her way down the corridor, searching for an empty compartment where she could keep Harry safe and sound until she found Hermione.
As she walked, she couldn't help but feel guilty about the whole situation. She had promised Harry that she would keep him safe, but thinking on it, she had ended up hiding him in the most uncomfortable and unsanitary place possible.
"Sorry, Harry. I didn't mean for this to happen. I'll make it up to you, I promise." Ginny said, talking to herself more than to Harry, who was still stuck in the boot.
Meanwhile, Harry was trying his best to stay calm and focused. He knew that he had to be careful not to get stepped on by Ginny's foot or slip down even further into her boot.
He tried to make himself large as possible, pressing his limbs against Ginny's calf with his back to the boot to try and control his descent. He could feel the vibrations of the train as it started to move, and he knew at least that he was on his way to Hogwarts, whether he liked the journey or not...
