The mouse showed up bright and early the next morning. Evan immediately noticed that the fur's formerly flabby belly was now back to its originally flat state. The lion tried not to blush thinking about how he accidentally spied on the mouse pleasuring himself the previous night.
"Hello and welcome t-"
"Um, I know where to go," the mouse said meekly. He hurried he way to the elevator and mashed the buttons, disappearing inside once the doors opened.
The rest of Evan's day was remarkably dull. He answered phones, set up appointments, responded to emails, and overate during lunch. There was a special at the nearby Burger Barn and the lion just couldn't pass it up. That afternoon his overstuffed belly pressed hard against the buttons on his white button-up shirt.
It wasn't until nearly the end of his shift that Evan thought about that mouse again. He hadn't seen him leave the building. Perhaps the mouse left during his lunch break, or perhaps he exited through some other door.
Minutes before Evan was slated to leave, the elevator dinged once more. Out walked the mouse. Just like the night before, his flat abdomen had ballooned out massively into jiggling, wobbling mass. The lion stared as the mouse as he made his way to the door. Evan swore that he was even bigger than the day before. The mouse's steps were awkward and disjointed. Clearly, he wasn't used to waddling around with the new weight, and it also didn't help that his gut was sloshing around uncontrollably. Before he could reach the door, the mouse took a tumble. He hit the ground hard and his belly jiggled violently.
Evan quickly rushed over to him. "Oh my God, are you only?" The mouse was struggling to get up, and seeing this the lion helped him back onto his feet. The fur stumbled a bit, knocking into Evan, who instinctively held out his paws to catch the mouse. One paw caught his belly and easily sunk into the flesh. It was incredibly soft and supple and warm. It reminded Evan of marshmallow fluff.
"I'm-I'm fine...," the mouse said. He started pulling away from Evan but the lion dragged him back closer to him. The mouse's grey-furred gut smacked into Evan.
"Dude, this is the second time I've seen you walk out of here big as a house!" Evan said in a hushed whisper. "What the hell is going on?"
The mouse stammered. "I...I can't tell you...Mister...Dr. Kirkpatrick told me not to tell anyone! He said if I talk then the military will cancel the co-" He suddenly brought a paw up to his mouth and gasped. "I shouldn't have said that! Forget I said anything!" He broke away from Evan and rushed out the door and down the street, his huge gut bouncing up and down as he moved.

The mouse didn't come in the next morning, and Evan's morning was just as lackluster as it was the day before. That is, until a chunky ferret taped him on the shoulder.
"Evan? I'm supposed to fill in for you," she said.
"Wait, why? For what?" he asked.
"Dunno. HR just called me down. I'm just as-"
Suddenly, the phone rang. Evan picked it up ready to deliver the standard greeting. "Thank you for callin-"
"Evan. Please report to my office," Dr. Kirkpatrick said. "Now."
