"I was thinking of checking out that arcade I drove past yesterday," Evan said, stretching his arms above his head. "It looked like it had a bunch of fun games, and I know how much Dylan enjoys playing video games."
Faye's smile grew. "The Arcade Whale? That's a fantastic idea! Dylan loves it there. Just make sure he doesn't spend too much money on those claw machines. He's obsessed with winning those plushies and there isn't any more room on his bed for more."
Evan and Dylan headed off The Arcade Whale that afternoon. The arcade was a blast from the past, with neon lights and the sound of electronic beeps and buzzes echoing through the air. Dylan's eyes widened, and he took the quarters with both paws, the metal coins clinking together musically. He looked up at Evan with a mix of excitement and trepidation. "Really?" he asked, shoving the coins into the pockets of his tight jeans.
"Yeah, buddy," Evan said with a chuckle. "Go have fun."
A few hours later, after Evan had tried his hand at a few of the games and grabbed a slice of pizza at the arcade's concession stand, he decided to check in on Dylan. As he approached the area where he had last seen the pudgy cub, he heard a rhythmic clinking sound growing louder. It was coming from a game in the corner titled...
