How about Draco writing in the book that Harry Potter was no longer seen as human's but as Draco's personal House Elf, adding a little to the note to make Harry stay human and retain his memories but being unable to convince anyone he was neither and Elf or the one who stopped He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named.
