It was the first day of county fair, and it was the chance to everybody all over the county to come out and enjoy their day out. Whether it be show judging, go on the fair rides, or even lots of food to enjoy? It would be the latter we’ll be focusing on, as there’s a food eating competition taking place.
Through the food aisle of the fair are two best friends, Tobias and Nathan, both ages 13. They’ve just came it through the turnstiles, and looking around to see where to start. That’s when Nathan had spotted the sign, and then the stage where they’re looking for competitors to take on the challenge. It did caught his eyes, but he turns over to Tobias to see what he thinks of it.
“Say, you like to take on that sort challenge, don’t ya Tobias?” Nathan wondered with a curious smile to his face.
“I...I do, but I don’t think I’ve done something like this before.” Tobias responded by looking at the stage set up with tables and chairs being in place.
“It’ll be fun! Besides, what could hurt you, except that it will taste so good?” Nathan asked with encouragement to make his best friend enter the food contest.
Of course Tobias had plenty of time to make his decision, especially that this is the contest he’s actually admired about this for quite sometime. He only saw the contest on the TV, seeing the competitors gorging it lots of fatty foods for either prize money, or a free meal in number of restaurants, but never had he thought he would want to get involved in such a open competition like this one.
But after he was convinced by Nathan to give it a best shot, it would make Tobias no hesitation by letting out a smile and nodded by giving this challenge a go.
“Well, I guess you’re right! I always wanted give it a try, so why not?” Tobias smiled with a shrug, and so he would head over to the stage to sign himself in.
Nathan was so looking forward to this, and see what Tobias is capable in this kinda contest. And so, he would head over to the crowded area, where everybody else is there to watch and cheer on those competitors onto the stage. Even he would cheer on his best friend, when he saw Tobias coming in moments later.
“Woo!!! Let’s go, Tobias!” Nathan cheered and applaud in enthusiasm.
Of course, Tobias blushed heavily, but remained composed, as the announcer gets to greet the crowd with the microphone in hand.
