Sarah immediately reached into her trouser pocket and became paler than fresh snow.
"What's going on?"
Without comment Sarah turned over her bag and revealed a big hole in the fabric. Alexander was horrified to hear this, while his body slowly took on its normal shape. Pamela reacted differently than Sarah or Alexander had expected.
"It must have happened earlier in the living room. Well, that of course demands a punishment. But first the tiny one has to get the cube as soon as he has recovered".
"But Markus is still out there. What if he sees him? Sarah suddenly felt uncomfortable.
"Do you want to go out with your dirty shirt? You won't get a new one from me. Besides Alex is so small that he can go under the couch unnoticed, so he doesn't get into Markus' field of vision.
Sarah didn't come up with an answer, actually Pamela was right. Alexander fully recovered, then got up and called out to the two giants:
"I'm on my way."
"Good, good. Meanwhile, we prepare this naughty slut for her punishment."
As Alexander pushed his way under the door, he looked back again and saw Pamela pull out her toy box under the bed and sat down on Sarah's stomach.
It was dark in the hallway, the only light was donated by the television, which threw a changing light spot on the wall. Alexander moved along the edge of the corridor, not only to keep his orientation, but also to avoid possible passers-by. It seemed, however, as if luck would favor him this time. Markus remained sitting on the couch, fixed with his gaze on the TV. Alexander didn't yet know how to find the cube, let alone bring it back. At first he ran under the couch, but he couldn't spot the cube in the dark. He wondered where Sarah had stood to search from there. When Alexander had reached the other side of the couch, a cheesy, bitter smell rose to his nose. Shortly thereafter two large white socks landed in front of him and his eyes began to water. He liked such strong smells, but he didn't want to be aroused by Mark. Not because Markus was a guy, but simply because he didn't like him. The socks blocked his view now, of course, so that he had to walk around them. He was on the lookout and, in fact, he could see something angular under the table. Now Alexander had some heart palpitations, because he had to go over unseen and back with the cube. So much could go wrong. "Eyes closed and through," he thought, then he sprinted over to the table and looked up only once. Markus had put his legs on the table and held a protein shake in one hand. With enough luck Alexander could possibly bring the cube past the side of the couch where Markus' head was, this way, it wouldn't matter if Markus looked down or not, Alexander would be out of his field of vision. Alexander started to press the cube and to his surprise the cube was quite easy to push with its smooth surfaces over the carpet. But Alexander found that it took too long, so it would take at least another hour to get there. If only he were a little bigger. His train of thought was interrupted by a loud burp. Markus had shamelessly burped away and was about to get up, Alexander, who was only halfway there, saw the pair of feet turning in his direction and began to approach him. Alexander tried to jump to the side when Markus right foot kicked the cube away. Alexander stopped in a state of frozen horror, because Markus of course felt that he had touched something. He looked down and didn't seem to see anything directly, because he just walked on. But before Alexander could breathe a sigh of relief, Markus' left foot hit him like a rocket. The air was catapulted out of one lung and he landed on the tiles in the kitchen. It was only thanks to his regenerative powers that he survived. "What now? Why are there a thousand things on the floor here." Markus wanted to switch on the light in the living room. If he did, he would see the cube and maybe Alexander. Alexander fled around the corner hoping to keep the collateral damage as low as possible. Shortly before the light came on, Alexander jumped into a tilted slipper lying around the corner.
"A cube? Probably belongs to this nerd. Let him look for it under the sofa." After these words Alexander heard the sound of a rolling cube and could imagine that Markus had now simply kicked him under the couch. Which in itself was good for Alexander. So a brainless muscleman can be useful for something. He heard footsteps approaching instead of moving away and Markus trampled past him. Now Alexander also had an explanation why Markus had got up, he wanted to throw away his empty shake. The giant trotted back, paused when he saw the slippers.
