Kria sat at the head of a long table, Devin behind her chair, the sun shining through a red-colored glass window. It gave the impression that some evil overlord was going to conduct an evil scheme, and that was exactly what Kria was about to do.
Though, the rest of her family did not seem to like it.
As Aliph, Regina and Lorenda Soulstealer entered the room, they winced and shielded their eyes from the sharp rays.
"Kria, honestly, I know you are trying to seem grand and intimidating," said Aliph, "but this is too much. How are we supposed to focus with that much illumination scourging our eyes?"
Kria sighed and ordered Devin to close the curtains, realizing that it will indeed be a major distraction.
"That's much better," said Aliph noted as he took a seat next to his niece, Regina.
After everyone had settled down and refreshed themselves, Kria said, "You are all probably wondering why I brought you here."
"That's simple," said Aliph, "You want to do a hostile takeover, and you want our help."
Lorenda gasped. "Hostile takeover?" she said in shock, "You didn't tell me that. You said that we are going for a family outing."
Regina groaned, clearly irritated by her cousin. "Oh, stop being such a wimp," she said, "Embrace your inner demon for once."
''No!" said Lorenda firmly, "I will not harm an innocent person."
"Silence!" Kria barked before are argument could break out, "Listen, Lorenda, this IS a family outing. I didn't lie to you. It's just a family rampage, that's all. As for harming anyone, my sources tell me that the place is probably ran by magic or machines, which means that we will be fighting soulless, mindless things. No one with any personal lives will be harmed....but, if you don't want to....I guess you can leave then. You don't have to do this."
Lorenda sighed and said, "No, I'll come along. It still doesn't feel right, but since you spend so much time with me, I guess it won't hurt doing something you like for once."
Kria smiled and said, "That's the spirit!"
"Besides," said Regina to Lorenda with a mocking smirk, "you can learn a thing or two how REAL demons act."
Lorenda ignored her. Kria quickly gave them the details of the factory.
"So, how do we take this faculty?" asked Aliph, "Do we do it strategically, or do we go in weapons swinging."
Kria grinned. "You know the answer to that one"
And indeed Aliph did, much to his irritation.
