While swapping your head onto the body of a Barbie doll had been a fun experience, and you were glad you'd experimented with that to test out the limitations of what the remote could do, you had to admit that you were definitely starting to missing having feeling in your body. Sure you did technically have a sense of touch across the Barbie's plastic skin you possessed below your neck, but it was dulled to the point that you could barely even feel it if you weren't focusing on it. There was also the face that a Barbie's limbs didn't have the same full range of motion that a proper human would have, making your movements a bit stiff and awkward. You wanted a flesh and blood body again. That wasn't to say you never wanted to try swapping with toys or other inanimate objects ever again, but that would probably best be saved for when you were alone in the house and had time to experiment.
With that in mind, you select the head option from the menu and drag it over, swapping back the heads of the diagrams. The diagrams of yourself and Barbie now showed things exactly as they'd been before the swap, albeit with Barbie's body now dressed as a princess. Not everything was back, of course, as your social position as a toy or human should still be swapped, but that wouldn't show unless you selected it. You wanted to keep that swapped anyway, partially to see which swap your size was linked to, and partially because you wanted to see how you'd be treated as a human toy. Would Stella still play with you and dress you up and everything? Although you had to be careful with the remote around her unless you wanted to reveal your secret, you didn't mind the idea of spending more time with her like you had this afternoon.
You would have just hit confirm and been done with it, but something made you hesitate. Looking at the images of yourself and the Barbie, both possessing your normal bodies and clothes, something just felt wrong. You'd just gone through the utterly bizarre, reality-bending experience of becoming a living Barbie doll, did you really want to throw it all away and just go back to normal? Sure, you'd still be keeping your status as a toy, but in terms of your actual appearance, you'd be a normal human boy again. Perhaps there was another swap you could make. You didn't want to go back to having a completely plastic body again, but maybe there was something of Barbie's you could keep as a little "souvenir" of your time as a doll.
Having not made up your mind yet, you decide to spend a little time just scrolling through the options to see if anything caught your fancy. You had plenty of time, after all, thanks to the remote freezing time. You first instinct was to swap a body part. You didn't want a full plastic body by maybe having just part of Barbie's body replacing yours would be find. You chuckle a little as you imagine Barbie's breasts or shapely rear attached to your male body, even if they were plastic and wouldn't feel like the real thing. The next most obvious thing was the clothes. It seemed like the most unobtrusive way to gain something of Barbie's without messing up yourself, and if you were still to be Stella's plaything, then it would mean she'd have all the same outfits to dress you up in. You hadn't really considered the idea of crossdressing before today, but after having become a living Barbie doll for a while and made to play princesses with Stella, you were much more open to the idea of wearing women's clothes. You were actually somewhat curious to see how this dress would feel on an actual human body, even if it would need to be adapted to fit your male body instead of a female one.
The further you scrolled though, the less physical the options seemed to become, and the more things like your social position popped up, things that seemed less like physical traits and more like concepts that could be applied to a person. There were some more standard ones like personality, sexual preference, occupation, possessions, but there were also some that seemed strangely specific or abstract, like address, relationships, favourite colour, diet, family, etc. These would already be interesting to test on a person, but you'd be curious to see how they'd work on a Barbie doll. If you switched personalities with it, would you gain the personality of the character Barbie, or would you become a blank slate like a plastic doll? Was the Barbie's address the same as yours, since Stella owned it, or was the dollhouse considered her home? If the latter, would the dollhouse grow to match your size if you had to live there? The possibilities seemed endless, if a little daunting to experiment with right now with your family all still home.
The most tempting of all of the more abstract options, though, was back towards the top of the list; Life. Presumably, if you swapped that, everyone would view you as the Barbie doll, even if you had your own body. You'd experienced what it was like to be a living toy, but that "toy" was technically a member of the family, and everyone was fully aware of the fact that it was alive. Barbie wasn't a member of the family, she was an inanimate object, and was treated as such. You knew you'd probably have to swap back the social status if you chose that option. If you were going to properly become Barbie in the eyes of the universe, you wanted it to be Barbie the toy, not Barbie the lifeless human. You assumed, or at least hoped, that you'd still be able to move, but that it would perhaps be something like Toy Story, where you'd need to pretend to be inanimate or else risk freaking people out. You could've done that with the plastic body you currently had below your neck, of course, but you didn't really want that right now. You'd only had the remote for under a day, so if something went awry, you wanted a body you could quickly manoeuvre around in so you could quickly grab the remote and fix things.
