Chapter #5

It all Started with a Traffic Stop

    by: RunninginCircles Author IconMail Icon
Officer Chase Whitehall was new to the police force here in Bay City.

Chase had come from a small town, from a poor family. He was raised to believe in the strength of the law and to honor and respect those who held the law.

This is why Chase chose to join to the police. He wanted to make the word a safer place. Many questioned his request to join the Bay City Police Department however.

Bay City was known for its amazing weather, tourism, and gambling. The city decided to openly legalize gambling to allow casinos and hotels to raise their tourism.

While this worked it also increased crime with it. Now Bay city was known for crime as much as it was known for anything else. This is where Chase was determined to fight against organized crime and help turn the system around as the police force had become corrupted by bribery.

On his first day out on patrol Chase’s supervisor officer pulled him aside. Lieutenant Sanders the man who Chase reported to pulled him into a private corner.

“Listen…I know you are out here to become the next knight in shining armor. A beacon in law enforcement. I get it and i commend it. I will
Encourage you as much as I can. You just need to understand we have one rule here at the Bay City PD. Do not mess with the Vanderports.” He explained.

The Vanderports were one of the wealthiest families here in bay city. The father Michael Vanderport owned the largest Casino in town. Rumors he was also involved in organized crime began to surface but these rumors were never proven.

“Listen sir, I will upload the law and earn this badge, I won’t give into bribery or look a blind eye like so many others.” Chase explained.

“No! It’s not that! Trust me….Just don’t mess with the Vanderport family. Please…you wouldn’t understand and if I explained it you wouldn’t believe me. All the other families and troublemakers are fair game, just don’t get involved with the Vanderports. It won’t end well you.” The lieutenant explained.

Chase took this warning a little personally. He didn’t care who someone was or how rich their family was. In his mind if you break the law you will pay.

Well it only took a week for Chase to get his wish. He was patrolling a neighborhood when he spotted a red Ferrari speeding almost 100mph in a 35mph zone.

When he pulled over the vehicle he found it was being driven by a very young beautiful woman. She had long jet black hair, huge red lips, large breasts barely contained by her blouse and beautiful tanned skin she showed off with her mini skirt and heels.

Madison Vanderport, age 21. Youngest child of Michael Vanderport.

“Listen you must be new here. Call up your superior or whatever and let me go I’m late for a club opening.” Madison said in angry tone.

“That’s not how this works ma’am, I have you on reckless driving and I can smell the alcohol on your breath, I’m going need to step out of the car.” Officer Chase replied.

“You really don’t get it do you? My family owns the cops in this town. They know what we can do.” Madison replied.

“I don’t care how rich you are, I’m not letting you off the hook for this.” Chase replied staying firm on his conviction.

“Oh sweetie, I’m not talking about wealth, I’m talking about magic. My family has powers you just don’t understand.” Madison replied.

Chase wanted to laugh at this response but he saw Madison looked 100% serious.

“You know something. I need a new BFF. You look like the perfect candidate.” Madison said with a wicked grin.

Chase was about to reach for his weapon when all of a sudden he felt…dizzy….his eyes were getting heavy. Before he could react he suddenly fell over blacking out.
