Velvet was a people pleaser. She knew this. Coco was also her best friend at Beacon and besides the shopping trips, they had a lot of fun together. And if the shopping trips were only once in a while, Velvet would be more than happy to go. If Coco would respect her opinion and not make her try skimpy dresses.
"This doesn't even cover my underwear!" Velvet squeaked from the changing room.
"But it's going to make guys notice you!" Coco said. "We can add some sexy underwear and you'll have the pick of the crop!"

Velvet froze as she could just imagine Coco's shit eating grin through the dressing room door. As much as people liked to believed she and Coco were thing, they weren't. Coco was firmly into guys and Velvet was bi. But Velvet did have a crush on Jaune due to that guy helping her with Cardin that one time. Cardin bullied her less after that, but he didn't stop.
"We aren't like that..." Velvet mumbled.
"You need to get some self confidence and make the first move." Coco told her. "And you know, clothes make the woman!"
"But not slutty ones!"
"I'll take a look around for something sexy, but conservative, okay, Bun-Bun?"
"You don't have to," Velvet said quickly. "I can find my own stuff. You go find something for you."
"Eh, this stuff suits you more, you're cute Velvet. You need to flaunt it."
"I don't like standing out." Velvet sighed. Her ears always attracted lot of stares from onlookers and racists would make fun of her being a Faunus.
