This choice: Weiss believes the victory was a fluke. Nobody but Jaune was aware of the change • Go Back...Chapter #9Only Jaune knows by: Fafnir "He just got lucky! I-I tripped, and he took advantage of it! It's just a dumb fluke, nothing else!" Weiss growled, pointing an accusatory finger at Jaune.
"Sure, Snow Globes." Yang yelled from the sidelines. "And I bet those cantaloupes strapped to your chest weren't weighing you down either."
'Snow Globes?'
Jaune watched with something akin to abject shock as Weiss turned an impressive shade of red, the formerly petite girl shaking with fury and embarrassment as laughter rippled through the audience.
Unintentionally, his eyes drifted downwards, fixated on her new "assets". While he hadn't thought about how big to make Weiss' chest, Jaune didn't expected her boobs to make the jump straight from "molehill" to "Everest". Heck, just her breathing had the massive mams pressing against her top. And the small part of him that wasn't transfixed by the swaying globes noticed another change. Her dress, he knew, had been made for a girl who was, bluntly put, flat-chested, and not stacked as hell. Yet the garment showed no sign of strain as it hugged Weiss' new proportions perfectly... except for the generous amount of cleavage on display.
Ok, so his semblance didn't just modify bodies.
"Mr. Arc. Ms. Schnee." Professor Goodwitch interrupted his observations, "Would the two of you kindly leave the stage. There are other students here I would like to teach."
Blushing a bit, Jaune nodded and quickly hopped off the stage.
Weiss did so as well, but not before giving him and Yang one last glare before she stormed off to locker room.
Jaune, on the other hand, was hesitant to follow after her. Having grown up with seven sisters, he knew walking into a room alone with a furious girl was not a good idea. Still though, he needed to change out of his armor and store his weapons. He was almost thankful when Professor Goodwitch stopped him.
"That was some very quick thinking on your part Mr. Arc." She told him. "It'll be an important skill that will aid you well once you graduate."
Jaune felt a smile start to form before it died with her next words.
"However, Ms. Schnee was not entirely wrong when she said that your victory was a fluke. While I applaud your quick thinking this time Mr. Arc, you are severely lacking elsewhere." She tapped her riding crop against Crocea Mors. "For example, your fighting style."
"What's wrong with it?"
"Your sword and shield are defensive weapons Mr. Arc. Unlike Ms. Schnee's rapier, which relies on her mobility to deliver swift, precise attacks to take down her opponent." Professor Goodwitch mimed holding a shield. "Yours are the opposite. You need to focus more on protecting yourself and wearing down your opponent to deliver well-timed counters. Had you kept up your defense instead of trying to attack her wildly, Ms. Schnee would've had a much more difficult time defeating you."
Jaune nodded solemnly, deflated at her words.
He knew she was right.
"I would suggest you ask for some tips from your partner Ms. Nikos. I'm certain you can learn much from her considering your styles are similar." She then gestured at the door. "Now go and get changed."
"Yes professor."
Thankfully, Weiss wasn't in the communal section where they stored their weapons, so Jaune quickly deposited Crocea Mors. He grabbed the Book of Reality having stored it there earlier, thinking he wouldn't have much use for it now that he had a semblance. But there were a few things he needed to confirm like...
*Is anyone else aware of the changes to Weiss's body?*
He had noticed it somewhat earlier but had ignored it in lieu of seeing the flat-chested girl he liked suddenly grow boobs. He could be forgiven for that. The moment he finished writing, the ink wriggled and moved across the page.
*No.*
Jaune blinked as the word faded away, leaving the page blank once again.
Huh...
So, he really was the only one that noticed the changes made to Weiss' body. Maybe the Book's power bled over into his semblance. It would explain everyone's behavior. As far as they were concerned, Weiss must've always been that stacked and the girl herself wasn't even aware that she'd been nearly flat as a board no less than an hour ago.
Jaune felt a smile crept up his face.
Ideas were already swarming around in his head. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
