Scooping up a handful of wrapped chocolate balls, Dorothea rolled one between her fingers. It was perfectly smooth, a slight shine to its brown surface. Setting the chocolate balls off to the side, she returned the rest of the candies to their bag and set it atop her nightstand, making a mental note to share them with her class. Not everything in that bag was to her liking, and she wouldn't want to throw out perfectly good candy.
Grabbing one of the chocolate ball, she quickly unwrapped it, eager to taste it. Chocolate was a particular weakness of hers, especially milk chocolate. It was just so rich and creamy... And the way it melted atop her tongue, spreading its divine taste all around her mouth... Oh, how she loved it!
"Down the hatch!"
Dropping the small sphere into her mouth, she allowed it to sit atop her tongue for a moment, softening the sweet treat slightly, before chomping down. The taste of caramel filled her mouth, pulling a delighted moan from her. Swallowing hungrily, she reached for a second one, eager to taste it again. The caramel was so sublimely sugary, the chocolate was so thick and milky...
"Mmm... Sho gud!" Dorothea mumbled as she pressed three caramel ball into her mouth at the same time. She teased one with her tongue, rolling it around her mouth, while she pushed the other two to either side and allowed them to slowly melt. Falling backwards, she allowed her treats to dissolve in her mouth, eventually releasing their sugary innards. "Ohhhh..."
Swallowing, her eyes gradually fluttered shut, the sugar apparently having no affect on her...

"More!"
Dorothea slammed a fist down on the arm of her chair. The room around her shook and, seemingly from nowhere, small brown spheres rained down around her. With excited hands, she began to grab as many of them as she could, ramming them hungrily into her mouth.
"More... More..."
These were the only words she could utter as she devoured more and more of the heavenly chocolate rain. With each handful, her hunger for more grew, her thoughts turned to the caramel balls...
"Gimme more!"
A giant ball landed in her lap, easily the size of her own head. Yet its size did nothing to deter her as she picked it up and dug in, quickly demolishing a hole in the outer chocolate layer to reveal the amber insides. Lifting it to her lips, she hungrily chugged the thick liquid, ignoring the bloating sensation in her midriff...

*RIIINNNGGG*
Dorothea sat bolt upright as an alarm rang through her room. Glancing towards her alarm, her eyes went wide as she saw the time.
"Half eight... I need to get ready!"
Jumping out of bed, she began to rush around her room. Pulling her pyjama bottoms off, she replaced them with a pair of denim jeans. Pulling on a black shirt and her favourite red leather jacket, she ran for the door, pausing partway to scoop up her bag. As she passed her mirror, she paused again, noticing something off with her reflection...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
