Flying back home, Trunks felt different. Not just because he was a woman or in the body of one of the world's tormentors now, but because of how ki no longer swirled around him. Even in the apocalypse, he could still sense people, he could still sense his mother, he could still sense himself.
Not so any longer.
Before, Trunks was thankful the androids couldn't sense ki, but the loss of the sensation only reminded him how against life these beings really were. He shuttered a bit before internally steeling himself. This was for the greater good of mankind. Soon, it would all be over.
After a bit of labored searching (normally being aided by his ki sense), he found Capsule Corp. He breathed a sigh of relief, flying down. For a moment out of habit, he was going to walk straight in, but quickly realized that'd scare his mom half to death. Looking up at a security camera he waved to it at the same time greeting his mom. Then he waited, holding his hands down daintily...and waited...and waited...
Did something happen to her? Did she not believe him? Did...?
"God, only you would be so polite to wait this long," Bulma sighed, walking out the unlocked front door, looking at her son (or daughter?) with a bittersweet smile.
"Hi, mom," Trunks exclaimed with a similar expression.
The two shared a hug before walking inside. "So uh...what happened to your normal body?" Bulma asked, walking over and sipping a cup of coffee she made beforehand.
"Killed it," he confessed, a bit unsure of himself.
Bulma's eyes widened. "Really? Y-You know you can't get your body back now, right?"
Trunks gulped a bit, the motherly and yet scared tone made him feel like he made a mistake. "Um...yeah. I didn't want her risking to kill even just one more person, even if we did something like try keeping her imprisoned or something. "
The mother sighed and rubbed his cheek, smiling brightly. "You really are my loving baby boy."
"C-Come on now, mom," Trunks said, blushing a bit and pushing her hand down a bit.
Bulma chuckled letting him go before stepping back to take another sip of her coffee. "So, what're ya planning on doing now?"
"Train. Gotta beat 17," he said, stretching a bit.
"What you really need is a break. It'll be a few months before we can get enough energy to get the body-switching device working again, so you're gonna need to get used to living like this ASAP."
Trunks paused, thinking about. Should listen to his mom? Or go train? Either way, he would be getting more used to his body...
