It was over, the woman who had been chasing you across the inner rim had finally caught up to you on a scavenger station. In the chaos that ensued, thankfully most, if not all of the civilians fled. It was just you and the black-clad imperial inquisitor. Over the past few weeks, you had a few close calls, but you were cornered now. But you were a Jedi… well, at least a padawan.
You fought valiantly, but in the end, it appeared that the woman was simply a better duelist than you. As you fought through the scavenger station, you were flung against some discarded separatist tech from the war. There was a flash… And you thought that was it.
But evidently it wasn’t, as you groaned as you came to consciousness. Sirens were wailing from somewhere in the distance. You opened your eyes, the metal ceiling seemed blurry and oddly distant. You blinked as things started to focus. It did look distant… Very distant. That separatist tech was just beside you, but far; like you were a child again… But even smaller. You started to sit up just as you heard what sounded like a thud coming from behind you.
Just as you turned you heard it again, but louder. Seconds later you realized what it was, and what had happened. It was the inquisitor… only, she was huge. No, you were small very small. Whatever that separatist tech was, it had done this to you. But you didn’t have time to consider the implications of what that meant as there was another crash as the inquisitor's black leather boots drew even closer.
You reeled back as she was approached as the toe of her boot crashed just in front of you as she stepped over you. In complete awe, you watched her lithe form pass over you as she approached the machine that you had been knocked against. She knelt to the ground to inspect something, and her hand rose back into view with your lightsaber in it.
“I know that you are here…” Her voice, augmented by her mask resonated across the room. “There is nowhere to run padawan…” She said, her mask scanning the room, and landing right on you…
Her head tilted slightly as she stared at you, seemingly at a loss for words for the first time since you encountered her. “Now that is curious…” She purred, as she rose to her feet and strode over towards you.
