The girls whispered to each other. Both now sporting sly grins, they came back to Jack and Lucy explained. "We're going to play hide and seek with a catch. You have to hide and we'll come find you. If you stay hidden for longer than ten minutes, you win. If we find you before then, though, we get to have some fun with you, sound good?". Jack shook his head. "I don't know about that Lucy, that makes me a little nervous". Izzy shrugged. "We don't HAVE to do that. I mean, we could just have our fun with you right now, I mean look at you. Are you really in a position to bicker with us?". She made a good point. Now that Jack was just a few inches tall and Izzy had the shrink ray, he was at their mercy. With no other choice, Jack obliged. "Now, you can't leave the living room, that would make it too hard for us" Izzy said. Jack nodded in understanding, then the girls went to the stairs to count to thirty. Jack looked around and had a few options to choose from. Out of the bunch, he thought that hiding in between the couch cushions would be the best bet.
Jack made it up the couch as quickly as he could and right as the girls finished counting and peered into the living room, he dipped in between the cushons. Giggling, the girls said in unison: "Come out, Jackaroo, or we'll come and get you". Jack rolled his eyes. How clever. "If you come out now and give yourself up, we'll take it easy on you" Izzy cooed. "But if you want to be difficult, you better hope you have a great spot" Lucy added. The girls methodically made their way through the living room, looking under furniture, within cabinets and under the couch. Remaining at the couch for awhile, Jack thought about revealing himself. If he did, they would get to play with him, but as long as they were telling the truth, it wouldn't be as bad. However, Jack thinks he has a solid spot and can make it the full ten minutes.
What does he decide to do?
