Chapter #7

Converse Sneaker

    by: ejones312 Author IconMail Icon
The sole of Brianna's Converse sneaker pinned Tommy against the cold, hard floor, trapping him in place. The shrunken boy began to cry as the pressure of his older sister's sneaker grew, his cries turning into pained screams, all while the genius giantess watched the display impassively. "Pathetic little bug. Trying to crawl away from me, only to end up under my foot where they belong."

"Brianna, please!" Tommy cried out, only to be silenced by a sudden increase in pressure on his body.

"I don't ever remember bugs begging me not to squish them," Brianna blatantly said, increasing the pressure just by a slight amount. "I'm gonna squish you under my shoes like the insignificant little stain you are. I'll smear your bloody remains all over the floor, and no one will ever think twice about it."

"P...please..." Tommy's whimpering was replaced with the pain of cracking bones, the painful compression of internal organs, and blood seeping unnaturally from his orifices He began to cough up blood as his sister's shoe slowly increased its pressure on him. A little squeak only escaped his airways while Brianna's emotionless face watched from above.

"Goodbye... little bug."

Brianna finished the job by quickly stomping her foot, ending her little brother's life with a wet SPLAT! When she lifted up her shoe, all that remains was a little red splotch on the sole of her sneaker and on the floor. She stared at the stain for a moment or two, and then she was struck with inspiration.

Perhaps ending Tommy's life was too harsh, but what if this wouldn't be the case?

Tommy suddenly woke up in his bed with a gasp.

It was dark in his room, possibly in the middle of the night. Tommy checked his entire body, having woken up from a nightmare that his internal resentment towards Brianna had gotten him shrunken down to the size of an ant and crushed under her shoe. It felt so real, even the pain he felt as he was slowly crushed under her foot still lingered in his mind.

Thankfully, he found no bruising, no scarring, not even bleeding. He fell back in his bed and closed his eyes.

Suddenly, a light as bright as the sun shine inside his room, as if someone had turned on a high-intensity light directly in his window. Tommy was startled by a large shadow approaching his window, loudly tapping on the glass to get his attention. "Hello~, little brother? Won't you come out to play?"

Tommy didn't want to take any chances, so he hid under his covers, shivering. He took a peek at the window and found a giant blue eye looking back in. "I see you~"

Tommy screamed and cowered under his sheets, right before the roof lifted open with an amplified creak of the hinges. The scared boy looked up and saw the enormous figure of his sister towering over him with an unsettling smirk spread across her features. She quickly reached down, gently grabbed the screaming little boy by the sides, and lifted him up to the level of her face.

"Well, what do you know? It worked," Brianna's voice boomed triumphantly. "Looks like the experiment was a success after all."

"E-Experiment? What are you talking about!? What's going on!?" Tommy panicked.

"Oh, it's quite simple, little bug brother," Brianna began to explain. "You see, I was working with size-alteration technology for medicinal use and expanding food rations for the benefit for humanity, and I needed to try it out on a living human being. That's why I asked if you were willing to volunteer. When you refused me and hurt my feelings, you forced my hand, so I decided to shrink you down and crush you like the harmful little bug you were."

"S-So then..." Horror sunk in Tommy's face as he remembered his "vivid" dream. "Then it really wasn't a dream, and that you really did kill me?"

Brianna lifted her head back and emitted a boisterous laughter. "You thought that what you recently experienced was a dream?" she inquired, giggling. "Well, you're wrong, because it really did happen. You wanna see?"

Brianna reached for her Converse sneaker and lifted up the sole for Tommy to see. The boy instantly felt terror grip his heart and immediately screamed bloody murder at the size of the bloody stain approximately his size. The memories of his death flooded back to him like a tsunami. The terror he felt as his formerly-doting big sister willingly crushed him under her foot. The pain of cracking bones, compressed organs, and drowning in his own blood. The sudden shot of pain, and then, black oblivion.

"Oh, calm down, Tommy, you should at least be thankful I brought you back to life," Brianna scoffed as she put her sneaker back on. "In fact, your mangled body gave me the inspiration I needed to construct a new invention that will not only preserve your life, but revive your body and consciousness each time it's destroyed by crushing or digestion. It was really easy, it took me nearly three hours to come up with."

Tommy was too afraid to ask, but he was also too afraid not to ask. Swallowing a lump, he asked, "W-W-What did you create?"

Brianna shifted her fingers so Tommy's body was gently clenched in her fist. She took a few steps along her workbench where Tommy observed a large mass on the table not far from his makeshift bedroom. "This..."

The scientific teenager flipped over the covers, revealing...

1.) A chamber built for Tommy's size, similar in design to Brianna's shrinking chamber, but smaller. Each time his body is destroyed, Tommy will be instantly revived and revitalized inside the chamber in a flash of light.

2.) A batch of clones force-grew to match Tommy's ten year-old body, constructed using Tommy's freshly-spilled blood, organs, and bone marrow, and using advanced technology to transfer the consciousness to a new clone. Every time Tommy dies while at his shrunken size, his consciousness will be transferred into another clone, allowing him to automatically wake up in the chamber.
