Emma keeps getting ready for Gemma’s visit.

Emma watched Steven undress his Elizabeth body just enough to replace the now-too-big bra he’d worn on his Gemma body with a well-fitting sports bra that made his Elizabeth breasts look smaller and firmer than they actually were. He’s behaving just like a woman changing clothes in a locker room with other women, thought Emma. Nothing sexual to it at all. Even when he’d been wearing Gemma for weeks, and trying to act like as if he had always been a woman, I could always tell who was being Gemma. Now… he could just as well be Elizabeth! I’ve never seen so much of a change in behavior before from using the Medallion. Soon “Elizabeth” had replaced “her” shoes with the smaller ones, not even bothering to check “her” reflection in the mirror, but did ask Emma, “How do I look?”

“Much more like Elizabeth than you ever looked like Gemma,” said Emma. “People won’t automatically think you’re Steven inside.”

“Good,” said Steven, and changed the subject. “Are you and Liz going to put up with another unnecessary training session from Gemma, or are you going to arrange for stand-ins?”

“Stand-ins, and I’ll call a meeting,” said Emma, and went on, trying a new name for Steven as an experiment, “Stephanie, luv, do you think you’re up to getting two volunteers — really voluntary or not — at the meeting, or should I go with you?”

Steven’s only response to being addressed that way was a beautiful Elizabeth smile. After a little discussion, they decided to
