Logan and Mason, The Two-headed Super Soldier

"Ma... wake..." A voice seemed to call, asking him to awaken. "Mason...." The sound of a familiar voice rose him from his stupor. Mason sighed as he slowly opened his eyes. It was only somewhat lit by the dim light from above. But even that light seemed blinding. "Mason... Are you okay?" The voice of his brother asked, and he felt Logan's rough hand shake his shoulder.

"I'm awake! I'm fine!" Mason brushed his brothers arm away with his left hand. He rubbed his head, feeling two small bumps forming.

"Good... good." Logan replied, his voice sounding relieved.

But, Mason also heard something else in his brother's voice. An underlying fear of something. He felt his heart begin to beat harder, "What is it, Logan?" He wiped his eyes again. "Did we do it... did Atlas save..." He chocked on his words.

"I don't think we got that far Logan..." His brother gulped loudly.

Mason blinked several times, but nothing changed. "Oh my god! This shouldn't be fucking possible!" Mason swore. The fusion process seemed to have been interrupted. He and his brother had not been fused entirely, into Atlas. His eyes started at the two feet that rested on the metal floor, but he felt only the coldness from his left foot. The two legs seemed to be equally muscular, but the right clearly had a mostly healed wound. His eyes continued upward to the single hips that the two legs met. Nestled between the two legs was a penis he did not quite recognize. He followed the well-built abdomen to the right pectoral and to the neck his brother's head rested on.

Almost out of instinct, Mason pressed his foot harder into the metal floor and pushed the seat against the seat trying to pull himself away. For his effort, he only felt the muscles in his abdomen, chest, and side of the neck stretch uncomfortably. He and Logan remained firmly attached, with no distance gained between them. They were a two-headed man.

"What happened?" Mason asked, trying to burry his fear so his more practical side could find a solution. Panicking would not help them.

"I don't know." Logan answered. "I woke up only a minute before you... All I remember is a loud bang and then... this." He seemed to vaguely motion to their fused body.

Mason looked at his brother for a few moments, as he tried to piece together what little they knew. The loud bang likely indicated an explosion, a large enough one to shake even their chamber. "Shit! The generators!" He exclaimed. "They must have blown up the generators." Mason wiped his forehead. "That means we're stuck like a franken-soldier until they are rebuilt. How long could that take?"

"Would you stop analyzing? However we got like this, we need to get out of here." Logan insisted. "The pods are air tight, and no power means no fresh air." He reached across their towards the panel on the left side. He pressed the release button, but the pod door did not move, did not even shudder.

"No power also means that electric doors won't swing open." Mason stated with a smug, despite their situation.

"Fuck off..." Logan glared at him.

"Wish that I could, but I think that is the crux of our problem." Mason smirked. Even in the dim light, he could see Logan swing his arm around to smack him in the face, and surprising both of them, he caught Logan's fist with his left hand. For a moment, they both stared at their two hands, Logan's fist placed into Mason's palm. His elder brother had always been the stronger of the two of them, but now, muscles was something they both had. However, Mason also noted, as he stared at their two arms, that their body was not exactly shared between them. Just like how he could not feel the right foot, he could not feel his brother's right fist even though it was attached to their mutual body.

Logan pulled his hand back. "Lets just get out of here... without the smart remarks please."

Mason felt his torso being pulled forward as Logan placed his hand over the door frame. He shifted to mirror his elder's bother's hand placement, and they both began to push on the same count. At first, he was not sure his brother's simple plan would work, but then he recalled Atlas's superior strength which they now clearly possessed. The door seemed to groan in complaint before flying open. Mason and Logan fell forward, out of the pod.

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. The brothers take time to dress and arm themselves

2. A lone scientist, still in the lab, helps the brothers

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
