Rayne breaks into uncontrollable sobs as everything at the liquor store comes rushing back. Simon strides over and pulls the terrified girl to her feet. He rubs a mud stain from her cheek and gently touches her bloodied lip. Rayne flinches and he catches her wrist before she can jerk away.

Take her to my cave Deck." she shrinks away but he yanks her back. "Don't go getting any ideas while I'm gone, you hear darlin?" She nods terror clutching at her heart even before claws grip her around the waist before they shoot out into the night air with the thing making an earsplitting screech
