Riley slowly opened his eyes, a mixture of tears, saliva, and melted ice cream coated his face. As he wiped himself off, he realized he survived. He had been squished against the roof of Bobby’s mouth while the ice cream was swallowed.
Riley regretted not jumping before. He wanted to make sure he didn’t make the same mistake again. The shrunken boy slowly crawled along his friend’s giant tongue.
Bobby patted his stomach and sighed. The other kids finished off the rest of the bowl. Everyone hummed delightfully as they dropped their spoons in the bowl.
“What next?” Lily asked.
“How about a game?” Katie suggested.
“Sounds fun!” Conner said.
“Alright,” Stacy said, “How about-?”
