She can’t get the substance off her soles

Not wanting to risk making a mess of the floor, she waited a while for it to absorb. When it didn't seem to absorb, she tried to shake it off, but it wouldn't budge. It followed the contours of her feet perfectly. She took a glass of water and poured it over her left foot, and it drenched off, leaving the substance completely intact.

She started to panic. The more she thought, the more she realized that she had no idea what this was, and it's not coming off
