Being a micro was so hard. You constantly had to be watching for people walking around because you might be stepped on if you weren’t careful. And not just the people, you could not count the amount of times a dog or cat almost had you under their paw. While you did enjoy paws more than feet, the idea of being crushed by them was not a great one. On the way home you had an interesting encounter. You walked the usual route, which was good because you only had to cross the street once. But passing by an alley you heard someone humming a tune as they were heading in your direction. Normally this wouldn’t make you stop in your tracks, but this time was different. It was almost like you were spellbound by the sound of the humming. Suddenly the humming turned into singing. “WHY SHOULD I WORRY? WHY SHOULD I CAAARE? SAY I MAY NOT HAVE A DIME! BUT I’VE GOT STREET SAVOIR FAIRE!” The voice was crisp and clear and it made you stop and listen. Turning to face the alley you were greeted by the sight of a dog with a red cloth around his neck who was right on top of you. The big dog raised his paw overhead causing you to brace for the paw. However before he stepped down on you he looked down. The dog noticed you and placed the paw down next to you instead. Looking up you noticed the dog staring down at you with a cocky grin. Unsure of whether you should be running or not, you stared back at the dog with wide eyes. “Well, aren’t you a small fry” The voice of the dog was once again coherent and pleasant to listen to. “And who might you be little guy?” He asked. You were still understandably shaken by almost being stepped on, but eventually you shyly replied “M-Mark, sir.” You said the last part quietly. “Woah, hey now. Don’t be so formal man.
