“Hellooo you in there?”
Kazuma froze there, looking at the door wide-eyed, still having his hands on his breasts. He was like a deer in front of headlights. He didn't know what to do.
“W-Who the heck is that?”
He panicked back and forth, thinking about what to do now while still holding onto his breasts.
“Okay me,” he said to himself. “Stay calm. That random lady called out to someone named Luna. So who on earth is- wait a minute…”
He stopped himself. He let go of his breasts, realizing what was happening. He took a close look at his new face and was shocked putting the pieces together.
“I think I understand now. So that annoying goddess didn’t just turn me into a hot babe, she put me in someone else's body. Meaning… her life is now mine. And if I’m her then maybe…”
He thought of her name again, then a swarm of memories came in fast. He touched his head as it started to hurt but swiftly went away in an instant. He was able to focus clearly again.
“Ouch. That was something. Let’s see…,” he said to himself. He would then look through the memories of this lady before Kazuma took over. “So this body- or my body formerly belonged to this girl named Luna. I’m a 22 year old- hold on 22? Holy crap I’m basically in my prime! A-Anyway, I’m the head receptionist of this town’s guild. And that girl who called out to me must be one of my colleagues.”
Kazuma then hesitantly reached the door knob, slowly turning it and cautiously opening the door until he saw a woman with short brown hair standing there with her hands on her hips as if she'd been waiting. By the look of her attire she appeared to be some sort of waitress. It seemed she knew Kazuma- well rather his body but of course he has no idea who this is. She spoke with an impatient tone.
“About time you opened up. What took you so long? It doesn’t take you this long to get ready.”
Kazuma quickly came up with an excuse, “W-Well I was h-having trouble… getting my hair done.”
“Really? It shouldn’t take that long. Well whatever, now that you’re ready come on let’s go we’ll be late.”
She grabbed Kazuma’s hand making him blush a little from his boyish urges. She took him out of her room and out of the building, appearing as some sort of dorm.
“Wait a minute…” Kazuma said in his head. “I live in a female dorm?? Sweet!”
He grew a dirty smile on his face thinking of the possibilities that could happen. The brown haired girl looked back at him.
“What’s with that smile?”
“N-Nothing!”
…
They walked through the town of Axel. It was Kazuma’s first time and he was amazed seeing that he was actually in a fantasy world. He looked at all the buildings as they followed a path towards the adventurer guild. They arrived and he stood there gazing at the huge building.
“Holy crap this is so cool! An actual guild!” he spoke in his head. He couldn’t hide his excitement having a big smile on his face like a kid in an amusement park.
“You seem excited for work today. I guess I don’t blame you, it’s that time to receive our pay. You ready?”
“Oh umm sure,” he said, shrugging his shoulders.
With that, she opened the guild doors wide open and Kazuma saw other waitresses wiping the tables, behind the bar, and posting quests on the quest board. There were of course male staff but they were on the upper floor setting up the tables and bringing in stacks of papers. He was amazed seeing the inside of the guild, even if it was before opening up. He was greeted by other cute waitresses.
“Morning Luna!”
“Another day huh Luna?”
“Let’s work hard today Luna!”
“Uhh y-yeah let’s have a good one… hehe.”
Seeing those cute waitresses greet him made him stutter his words. He looked at every one of them thinking that this guild really likes to prioritize cute employees. He was so distracted and the brown haired waitress tapped his shoulder.
“Umm Luna shouldn’t you get going to your booth?”
“Booth? Oh that’s right! Yes I’m going now.”
From looking through her memories he was able to see that her main position is working inside the receptionist booth. He walked in, instinctively picking up a small rag that was stored underneath and wiping dust off.
“Okay, this doesn’t seem so bad. All I gotta do is sit here and assist people? Sounds simple to me.”
Moments later, the guild would open as the inside became much livelier. All kinds of people entered the building and Kazuma watched, seeing all kinds of adventurers in a party or alone. They sat at the tables ordering food and beer, talking, and going up to the quest board. That was when a group of adventurers grabbed a quest off the board and walked up to the receptionist booth. They handed Kazuma the quest paper.
“Here you go Luna, can you ring us up so my party can start this quest?”
“Sure thing. Let’s see gather all missing farm animals outside the town. That seems pretty light.”
He grabbed the paper and just stared at it. It just came to him that he doesn’t know what to do next.
“Uhh aren’t you going to do your thing?”
“Thing? Why yes I’m going to do my thing. I’m just reviewing it, that's all. Hehe..”
He panicked in his head, “What the hell am I supposed to do? Ring them up, what does that mean?! Quick, look through her memories…”
He closed his eyes and focused looking through her memories seeing how she would normally proceed.
The adventurers stood there weirded out, “Are you okay-”
“I got it!” He exclaimed, finally figuring out what to do. He reached underneath a drawer taking out a rubber stamp and stamping the quest indicating that they were set to go. “Alrighty then here you go. Good luck on your quest.”
They were still confused but nonetheless headed out. More and more parties would come up to the counter to take on quests and Kazuma was ready to enable them. There was this long line of adventurers, so he was nonstop stamping papers. It was so much that his right hand even began to cramp.
After a while all that madness seemed to be done for now. Kazuma scooted back from his chair and stretched his arms out.
“Man after all that work, sitting down for a long time really does strain you.”
He got up and walked in front of the counter seeing bits of dirt on it. He started cleaning the counter. When he was wiping, he noticed one of the waitresses walking past him to clean a table near him. She was wiping down the table, bending down peeping Kazuma’s interest. So he nonchalantly looked around to see if anyone was looking and moved himself closer, still wiping the counter but leaning over to try to get a peak underneath her skirt.
She didn’t seem to notice Kazuma yet. He leaned closer getting a good view of her bare legs, yet right when he was about to see more he heard the doors open. He quickly retracted as the waitress also turned from the door opening up.
“Oh Luna, I didn't see you there. What are you doing?”
“Just cleaning the counter, those adventurers really dirty things around here…”
Those doors were opened by returning adventurers coming back to claim their rewards. Kazuma jumped back to his booth and proceeded to hand out their rewards from completing their quests. It was mostly a successful day. For Kazuma and the adventurers who took on quests.
The rest of the day went by fast and it was soon to be closing time. A majority of the adventures left the building aside from one who blacked out at the bar. One of the waitresses woke them up. Everyone was putting the chairs up about to get ready to close until Kazuma remembered something about today receiving payment.
They all gathered around as the guild boss handed them their payment. Kazuma acted natural but was thrown off that it was a pretty hefty stack of coins.
“How much is this worth?” he said in his head.
He looked through Luna’s memories learning about this world’s currency and that since he’s the head receptionist of the guild, he gets the highest pay out of everyone there. He smirked at that thought.
“Of course the hottest one here gets paid the most. I can get behind this.”
Once the guild closed, All the waitresses gathered together, saying something like going out for the night. One of them walked up to Kazuma and went up close to his face.
“Hey Luna! Us girls are gonna go out for some drinks, want to come with?”
She was so close to his face making him uneasy. He couldn’t last to look at her cute face for even a second. He was getting red and looked away.
“W-Well I’m feeling a l-little tired, but m-maybe next time?”
“Aww really? Well you promise next time?”
“Y-Yeah! Next time.”
“Okay then.”
She happily walked back to the other girls, oddly not noticing him acting off. Kazuma guessed that she was simply the airhead of the staff. They went their separate ways as the girls went to a bar while Kazuma headed back to the dorm using Luna's memories to remember the way back.
He found his way back, entered his room and once after he closed the door he let out a loud sigh.
“Ahh man, today was something! That was exhausting. Hopefully no one found me suspicious. Who knew this chick had a busy job.”
It hasn’t even been a week and he was starting to question it. He walked forward, having his hand on his back.
“God, my back is killing me. These cans really are heavy when I think about them. So what now? Do I just sleep and get ready for work tomorrow?” he asked. However it was then he saw the mirror again and went close to it, having a curious look. “On the other hand… I could continue where I started this morning. This body is so hot, it’d be a crime not to explore this body… but should I? Would it be right?”
