2)Hermione uses the wrong hair for the polyjuice potion, but as the potion only does human transformations, she becomes the size of a cat, while retaining her human appearance
3)While they couldn't simply remove the underage magic ban, even with the Death Eater threats, maybe it would be easier for muggleborns to evade or escape capture if they were say, the size of a muggle doll? Hermione's about to test that ;)
4) Curious and determined, Hermione attempts to uncover her animagus form. To her shock, it's a fairy, and to her horror, she's not quite sure how to revert back to her human form.
