Supernatural Being That Was Looking For Fun

    by: Hellexia Author IconMail Icon
Steven woke up in a strange place again. It'd happened every single morning for the past week. Sometimes he'd be dead asleep one moment, the next he'd be standing up, a note in his hand. This morning was no different. In his flat's bathroom, he was staring at his reflection, his body sore and exhausted. And written in what he assumed was his semen, caking the mirror, was that same message.

"I love you."

"I'm really going mad, aren't I?" Steven mumbled, walking out of the bathroom. He'd have to get something stronger than just water to get that morning's message off. But, as he took another step, Steven suddenly found himself sitting in bed, a sheet of paper on his lap. "Not again!" Steven shouted, not even bothering to read the note. He knew what it said.

"I love you." Steven read out, staring at what was now in front of him. Somehow, he was instantly in his kitchen, eyes locked on another sheet of paper. Blinking, Steven was suddenly back in the bathroom, staring at the mirror message. The shower. The front door. The refrigerator. The couch. The nightstand. The closet. Every single time Steven dared to blink, he was transported, a message of some sort left right in front of him, reaffirming what the others said.

Giving up, Steven let out a sigh and returned to the bedroom. Surely he couldn't be fired for having a fit of insanity, right? Emma would understand. Surely. Reaching for his phone, Steven unlocked it before making the mistake of blinking. There, typed in a note on his screen was a simple question. "Why don't you love me?"

"I'm schizophrenic. Or I've got multiple personalities." Steven assured himself as he closed the note app. Blinking again, there was a new message in the note app that was once again open. One that made his blood run cold. "What do you mean?" Steven asked quietly. "What do you mean you'll prove it?"

Meanwhile

Allie didn't know why she did it. It wasn't even close to her stop yet. But she NEEDED to get off at that stop. The bus driver seemed alarmed, confused as to why Allie suddenly jumped up then and there when she was usually another four or five stops later. Allie's mind raced, images of a man from her work searing themselves into her mind. That slender man, the one who was always so awkward around Emma. Alice couldn't remember his name, but her body was crying out. She needed to show him how much she loved him. She needed to break into his flat and touch him, kiss him, take him to bed, show him with actions instead of words.

Allie was bewildered. She'd long since had doubts about her sexuality, finding herself staring at other women rather than men. Her friends in Secondary School taking about boys, Allie having to lie. She'd never thought about any boy like that. But her friends, those of the same gender, they made her heart flutter just being around them. It'd taken a while before Allie accepted it herself. But now, she was throwing it all away. Her body and mind aching after the man twice her age who she couldn't even put a name to.

And why did Allie know his address? Why did Allie know he hid a key under his tulip pot? Why did Allie know exactly where he would be at that moment, sitting on the bed, staring at his phone? Allie had no idea. And for some reason, she didn't question it, sprinting into his room with sweat dripping down her face.

"Allie?!" Steven shouted, his eyes going wide. "Why? How? When-"

"I love you!" Allie shouted back, jumping onto Steven. "You've never returned my love!" Allie shouted, kicking off her trainers. She didn't know why she was saying those things. "My notes, I know you read them! I learned English for you!" Allie shouted. That wasn't the case at all. Allie never left any notes for this man. And she'd learnt English in school, not for anyone other than herself. And why was she so aroused? Allie didn't think much of this man.

"You're-"

"Who or what I am doesn't matter!" Allie shouted, throwing off her polo and exposing her cute pink bra. A bra Allie had padded that morning to impress that cute girl who frequented Wilko most mornings. So why, why was Allie doing this for him of all people? She didn't know. She just did, her mind quickly ignoring any reservations that appeared. "Right now, I can be with you. As a human..."
