Antionette smirked and stroked his cheek condescendingly.
"Why Johan, you precious little murderer--you're a genius! If I trade bodies with you, I shall rid myself of this repulsive form and finally be free!"
Johan's face turned red upon realizing the massive mistake he had just made. He struggled, squirmed, and pushed with all his might...but it was no use. The familiars had him pinned. Antionette continued pursuing the ritual at a leisurely pace.
"It's truly a shame this can only be done once, but then again, what do I care? Once is all I need."
She combined two vials on a nearby shelf and then drank them.
"You're fortunate in at least one regard, my dear. This ritual requires a kiss to initiate. Really, you should feel rather privileged. I'd never do this to a mortal otherwise."
Johan panicked and squirmed even more. He attempted to protest, but it was all in vain due to the familiars holding his head perfectly still.
"Pucker up..."
Antionette closed in and kissed him alarmingly passionately. The instant their lips touched, time seemed to stand still around them. The entire room turned pitch black and they could both see misty terrifying poltergeists flying all around them. As this was happening, all sound was cut off except for some very ominous sounding laughter. A stream of light shot forth from each of their mouths and flew directly into the other's. Once this process was complete, the haze began to slowly fade from around them. All the mysterious sights and sounds disappeared and the room returned to normal. All that changed was the fact that their positions at the beginning of the ritual were reversed.
Antionette took the time to admire her new form in the mirror. It was a lean yet muscular body, broad chest, fairly toned arms, blue eyes, and long golden hair that flowed down to the middle of the back. It was dressed in simple brown pants, a white undershirt, blue waistcoat, and darker blue overcoat covering it. A pair of dark leather boots tied the whole look together.
She unbuttoned the undershirt and flung the hair back over her shoulder as she examined her new body from every angle. She was incredibly pleased with the results.
"Oh my! Oh this is splendid! I dare say I haven't looked quite this good in 150 years! Oh if only I had the time to properly curl this hair--Ugh. A bit of foundation on the face will have to do, I suppose..."
