Blake had been on the road for 3 weeks before he laid eyes on the Capital. The walls were visible from miles away which was beyond his comprehension since he spent his entire life in the monastery and only passed a small village or two on his travels. Blake was told the city was the heart of the country and now he could see why, as he traveled before the road he took was the only path. but, today was the 1st time he saw connecting roads and travelers which both grew in number as he approached the capital. It felt like anywhere he wanted to go would have a path to and from the capital. Although since the start of the war the only people leaving the city were soldiers as refugees flooded in from all corners of the map. The travelers coming in and knights going out gave him a feeling of sorrow.
When he approached the gates he pasted a long line of the refugees waiting to be let in. As a traveler able to afford his own bed and board he was allowed in easily enough. He quickly found an inn which was attached to an adventurer's guild and put his supplies in the room. He noted that he had a decent amount of coins for a few days in the city but he wonders if it's enough for the supplies he'll need. He knows he needs to meet with the king about his quest but it may be better if that waited for tomorrow. It was around 6 in the evening when Blake decides...
