Riley was standing by the doorway, swaying back and forth and giggling incredibly loud. Turning her head towards James, she broke out laughing and stumbled over, wrapping her arm around his neck and shoulders. Slurring her words, she said: "Sho, turrrns out! EVERYthing gets me drunk now!", only to have Sarah walk up and elaborate: "She can make any food or beverage alcoholic. She ate eggs and drank orange juice and now look at her." Riley pivoted towards her stepmother and yelled, her words no longer slurring as much: "YEAH and I can sober up whenever or how much I want!! Shit, you made me so pissed I lost my buzz!"
Standing in his doorway, James watched as Riley ran off to the kitchen and opened the fridge, no doubt drinking or eating something get drunk again. Sighing, Sarah looked at her sole stepson and said: "Well, at least I can cancel her ability, turns out that's mine. You feeling better honey?"
Nodding his head yes, James watched as his stepmother ran into the kitchen and came back a few moments later, attached to Riley by the wrist. "I can't make her sober up, but I can stop her from making more things alcoholic and sobering up with her power as long as I touch her.", Sarah further explained as Riley tried desperately to get out of her stepmother's vice grip.
Watching the two walking into Sarah's room, Riley kicking and screaming the whole way, James decided that he was gonna clean himself up. Entering one of the many bathrooms, James turned on the tub and sat down for a soak, the warm water having a soothing effect. However, James heard the bathroom door open and then quickly shut as footsteps got closer. Ready to hear one of his stepsisters yell at him, James prepared for the ordeal but nothing came. Thinking that someone had probably thrown in an extra towel or something, he closed his eyes and relaxed.
