You've found yourself in quite a precarious position. Two gigantic hunters , one a human boy and the other a Pokemon, are on the lookout for you, each in their own way. If you aren't careful, you're going to wind up as a living plaything for the first Youngster you came across. This is a youngster, for crying out loud! Among the weakest types of trainers out there. You're not about to let some lowly gradeschooler become your lord and master.
You can't help but stifle a whimper. The boy shifts back, getting to his knees. He must know you're here!
"Come on ouuuuut, little person, I know you're down there." He calls out, his voice sending a chill down your spine.
The terror causes you to bolt as you try to stay out of the youngster's line of sight, but while doing so, you accidentally bump right into a Sentret's tail and she turns towards you and the tanuki-like normal-type both stared at one another before it seemed the Sentret made up her mind about something and....
'Did heart eyes suddenly turn to hearts!?' You thought to yourself in fright.
Seeing as you were now in possible more trouble, you run as fast as your legs can go as the Sentret lets out a drawn-out Pokémon cry of her name and chases after you out of your hiding place, however you failed to remember about the gigantic youngster until you ran right into the side of youngster's left shoe.
"Ha! Gotcha! Looks like Sentret is gonna have herself a mea—" the boy started to say, only to be cut off by multiple black and purple rings coming down from on high somewhere and slammed into the Youngster's Sentret, knocking her across the clearing.
"Wh-wh-wh-what?!" The giant brat said, then his jaw dropped at who attacked his Pokémon, only to see a Pokémon floating in the air, being surprised at seeing that it was actually flying.
Looking up, your eyes widened at why the kid was so stunned. The reason for that was it DIDN'T have wings!
It was a foxlike Pokémon, its fur is mainly light gray with red and white accents. Its ears are primarily gray with split cuts and a slight red tint at the tips. Its eyes have golden yellow irises and pink eyelids, and its limbs are tipped in black. The tuft of fur on its head, the ruff around its neck, and its tail are all white at their bases, with long wisps of fur that fade to red at the tips, and they are all smooth in appearance.
"Woah, what kind of Pokémon is that?! It's so freaky and creepy looking!"
"Zor…" The Pokémon's eyes glowed as it observed the young boy, as if it suddenly noticed him and it's eyes narrowed as they locked on the Youngster, as if sizing him up for a grave.
You, on the other hand, stared at the fox for a completely different reason! A Hisuian Region Zorua?! What was...?! How was?!
Oh...that was right, Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark were able to do that since they were a Pokémon that was an actual ghost.
The, to your shock, the pokémon landed in front of you and growled at the Youngster and his Sentret. As if warning them to back off.
Huh?! This Zorua was...Protecting you?! But...oh! Wait...never mind. You're shock wore off as you recalled how Hisuian Zorua came to exist. Back in the Hisui Region, Pokémon were much more violent and territorial. It was a dangerous and harsh Region for both people and Pokémon, if a person ever wandered out into the wilderness, they were lucky if they survived a single day, alone. Pokémon were also viewed more often as monsters rather than friends, companions and partners. People were terrified of them.
The Hisui Region was dangerous for people and Pokémon, if you weren't strong enough to handle the environment or encountered a powerful Pokémon, then you wouldn't survive long. That's how Hisuian Zorua's came to exist, they were the result of regular Zorua who were unable to survive the harsh environment and conflict with other Pokémon…and their spirits lingering in their new forms. The worst part was that Hisuian Zorua were only reborn due to their malice towards humans and Pokémon alike. As when they were alive, they were exiled by humans due to the illusions they could cast and were hunted to extinction by the Pokémon native to the Hisui Region.
So, whatever happened to Zorua when it was alive to turn them into their Hisuian Regional variations, it wasn't a natural death.
You guessed that meant that seeing Tinies getting mistreated while they were helpless, by human and Pokémon alike, was likely a sore spot for the Spiteful Fox and Baneful Fox Normal-and-Ghost-type pokémon.
All that means to you, however, is that you had some unexpected (but NOT unwelcome or unwanted) help. Good help at that! Seeing as how Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark are the first and only Normal and Ghost-type Pokemon, giving them incredibly unique immunities. Ghost-type Pokemon are immune to Fighting-type attacks, counteracting the only Normal-type weakness. Normal-type Pokemon are immune to Ghost-type attacks, counteracting a usual weakness of Ghost-types. As a result, the only type that Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark are weak to are Dark-type attacks.
Still...they could still be hit by other attacks, just because they were only weak to Dark-types doesn't mean they're immune to everything else, it just means an advantage against most others with that Normal and Ghost-type dual typing!
Either way, you were thankful for the compassionate streak of the two Hisuian forms of the illusion-casting fox, and how they deeply sympathized with Tinies such as yourself!
Getting up and shaking her head (body?), the Youngster's Sentret glared at the new arrival. She was NOT pleased with either being jumped and blasted like that, or with Zorua keeping you from her clutches!
You gulp as you realize that you could end up witnessing a clash of titans...and you may just be a living ground zero for it! Either way, you stood behind your new guardian and PRAYED that if a battle did occur, that Zorua would end up winning it!
