Chapter #5

Dwarf and Elf mistrust over shape

    by: E-Brony Author IconMail Icon
As weeks passed, the three boys kept eating and stuffing themselves, they had barely any time to think about the reason for which they had been moved in that room anymore, as the meals brought to them were so massive and so often that they soon grew accustomed to it and so, stopped thinking at anything beside their eating.

Especially in the last few weeks, as Zandaya's rewards kept coming, growing in both size and in taste, forcing them to remain over-engorged quite more often than before. Of all of them, the human lad, Geoff, was the one who was now starting to outgrow everything around himself. Both the table and the chairs were starting to become too small for his fattened frame, and yet, he was too engrossed in his eating to really take notice of this. Especially as the elven waitresses seemed to come out more and more often to help him clean up or when he had to go to the restrooms.

A similar point could have been valid also for the other two occupants within the room, if not for the fact that by sitting side by side, they could see each other and this sparked in the elf a bit of the ancient rivalry his kind had alway had for the dwarfdom.

As Lurun was pushing whole chocolate covered muffins into his mouth, his eyes moved on the shape of his neighbor noticing that the dwarf was starting to grow larger. At first he thought it had to be his impression but, as he actually saw the button of the dwarf pants flying off, he knew to be the truth. Despite his own roundness, all Lurun could think was that the dwarf beside him was trying to grow bigger so that he could bully him, as he had been doing in the past. Afraid to lose even a crumble of his delectable meals, the cave-elf acted first as he quickly swallowed a couple more muffins before turning toward his companion.

"It won't work...dwarf. You can eat and eat but you'll never grow taller than the cork you are..."

Ragni, was enjoying his being there. At first he had been afraid of enjoying too much but, as the meals had grown in frequency and the elven woman gifts had been added to the lot too, he had finally decided to let it go and enjoy the bounties offered by that strange place. Yet, as he took a large bite out of a turkey leg, he heard the comment from the elf and he felt his blood boil in anger. Slowly turning his head toward the pale elf he snickered as he looked at him.

"It should be you the one to worry, Elf. If you keep this up it is you who shall become nothing but a pale, fat, worm. I guess it's fitting though... those, lives in caves too..."

From that moment on the two of them, as they stuffed their mouths, kept throwing insults at each other, and yet, they both kept eating and so, they both kept going rounder and fatter. As days turned into weeks, though, while the human started to take over the table, both the elf and the dwarf had started to focus more on insulting the other than on keeping an eye on what was happening to the food on the table. So it was that as Geoff began taking for himself also their plates, they started to accuse each other, until the fateful day when Ragni found himself insulted by a particularly vicious remark from the cave-elf.

Even Lurun, as he said that, realized he had gone way too far. With tears in his eyes he tried to apologize, he even offered anything he had as his meal to the dwarf but Ragni, despite being moved by the gesture, as both had grown just as greedy as the human had been at first, couldn't stop himself, feeling his ancestors requesting him to write yet another grudge against the elven race. Spitting and screaming, Ragni slowly rose from his chair, managing to even walk for a few steps despite his fattened body, as he moved in anger toward the trembling lump of fat that Lurun had turned himself into.

But as Ragni raised his hands closed into fist, to attack Lurun, so the main door of the room opened and there appeared Zandaya, eyes flashing in wrath as she stared at the two in a cold, disappointed, rage.

"So this is how you repay my kindness, Ragni? Lurun? I have treated you two like you were part of my own family. I've been rewarding you for your good behavior and yet, here I find you two insulting each other and now, brawling?"

As the two of them felt that stare filled partly in rage and partly in sadness, both felt their anger, their mistrusts vanish, as they felt only shame for the disappointment over the woman who had given them so many gifts and rewards, a home where they had been eating plentiful, a warm bed and nobody to push on them. Ragni lowered his head, as his hands unclenched and his arms moved down, and yet he could still feel the shame for having done the only thing they had been asked not to do. Before anyone could speak, he knelt before Lurun, his head kept low.

"I'm sorry for my reaction and for all the things I've said to you. I shouldn't have done it."

The pale elf too, felt similarly and while he couldn't muster the energy to rise from his own chair, he too lowered his head in shame.

"No, Ragni, it is I who has started all this. I should have kept silent but, I was afraid that you might return to the old ways, as I saw you growing stronger."

The elven Headmistress walked calmly toward the two, as she silently cast a spell on the point of her fingertips, before caressing the shoulders of the two boys.

"I'm pleased to see that the two of you have managed to find within you the strength to admit your shameful actions. Yet, a punishment will be given to you nonetheless. I hope that this incident will help you remember that here we don't want any fighting between us. We are a large family.

Lurun, Ragni? The two of you will be moved into a separate room for one month.

Each of you will have that time to think about what he has done and what he could have done to remedy his mistakes."

As Zandaya said that, two long lines of waiters emerged from the main door, as they helped the two young lads to sit in two stretchers as they quickly moved them out of the room, separating each other at a crossroad in the corridors, bringing them to their new temporary rooms.

The elven woman, then, turned toward Geoff who had been so focused on his feasting to have barely noticed a thing. Only when he felt the gentle touch of Zandaya on his padded shoulder did he lift his face from his plate, his double chin wobbling slightly.

"What... What...happened...? Where are... Ragni and...and... Lurun?"

"I'm sorry Geoff, they have broken the rule and so I had them moved somewhere else where their punishment will take place. You, instead, have been an exceptional boy, you know?"

"*Oomph!*...All of this...*chomp*... it is too good...*mmmphm*... So good... so full...*Urrurp!*... Yet, I'm so hungry."

"Yes, my boy. You are hungry 'cause you need to grow strong and healthy. You are such a good boy, and you, so, need to grow healthier... that I believe you need a reward..."

As she said that Geoff, greedy, porcine eyes seemed to be sparkling as he turned his attention toward the headmistress. Despite the fact that he was already eating so much that he was rarely reaching time for the next meal with his stomach empty, especially during the afternoon, when the last rewards she had given them would heavily sit in his belly a few hours short of his dinner time. And yet, he was all focused on her, as she told him what his reward was going to be, this time.

"Well, since you're such a good boy, I think that I will ask the kitchens to prepare something more for you alone, let me say... about twice as much as you've been given and twice as frequently.

I really believe you need to grow healthier my dear, and this will be the boost you need... I'm certain of it."

The human, despite his lack of mathematics could understand very well that by getting twice as much as he was already, and twice as fast, he was going to be given a lot more food. Only the thought made his belly growl fiercely in anticipation, as he then thanked the woman only to return scarfing down whatever was left on the table, ignoring the fact that he had already grown so much fatter than he had arrived, and that he could only grow faster now that more food was going to come his way.

Zandaya, as the human focused back on his food once more, took her time inspecting the boy, seeing how large he was getting. His neck was vanishing under his soon to be triple chin, while his shoulder and his arms wobbled, now, everytime he moved them. His belly then, having grown so massive that she couldn't actually see his legs, hidden as they were as he sat in his chairs.

'Yes... I was right. You are indeed growing into a massive hog, Geoff. The Goddess will be pleased... and with her, our entire tribe...'

Meanwhile, both Ragni and Lurun were moved by the servants through a labyrinth of corridors, until both found themselves sitting in a large room, with a table placed in front of them. What surprised them the most, though, was that within the room they were in, there were some of their own kind.

As Ragni looked around he noticed several, male and female, dwarves. Each sitting politely at the massif central table, as they talked and laughed and ate, with abandon. As he was brought inside, all of them stood silently for a moment, before welcoming him and motioning him to join at the feast.

Lurun, similarly, was moved to a cave-like room, similar to the one he had at home, with his parents. In his case, though, there dozen of members of his kind, all sitting down around a roaring campfire, as they too ate and shared stories. In a stark difference with the Dwarfdom, though, the cave-elves were a strict matriarchal society and, as soon as Lurun was left in their midst, he found himself surrounded by pale elven girls, which then moved away as the most beautiful of them waddled to his side, proclaiming him to be hers.
