Sometimes things in life are just to easy
This is one of those times

The burglar has decided to first descend the stairs into your basement which is probably the last place they want to be as that is were you keep many different rooms, each their own pocket dimension where you can have fun with your victims

After a while you let her hear one of those you have trapped here before as they quietly sob through there gag making the thief investigate the noise
