Once the pleasantries were done, the 2 rangers didnt waste time and set out to start gathering any clues they can at the last sightings of the missing people and pokemon.
And with Crescent's help, they had been able to get to come of the locations fairly quickly, even through the thick fog, though so far they had not been successful in their findings, even with the Umbreons more sensitive nose.
There was something that even Harper noticed as they were investigating.
"Where are the local pokemon?" Crescent asked. "I dont even hear the movement of small pokemon running through or anything..."
Harper shook his head, not knowing himself but it was strange. The fog could be obscuring most of them, both visually and audibly, but it still strange... He had not even noticed any fresh pokemon tracks...
Wait...
"Hey, Crescent, I found something!" Harper told the simi-anthro dark type and knelt down to investigate further. Sure enough, there was clear signs of shoe prints, fairly recent no less, about a days worth, said the Umbreon.
Crescent had Harper move out of the way so that he could get a good smell of the scent, his more plump ass sticking up in the air and making his ass eat the girls cloths and giving great detail about the anthros underside.
Harper moved out of the way so he wasnt staring at Umbreon ass, and nearly leaped back when Crescent jolted upwards and looked in one direction, his yellow rings glowing up a bit. "That way."
With that, the 2 started to follow the trail, and noticed more than one, about 4 in total, though the other 3's origins were unknown for the time being as they were trying to see where they ended up.
