This choice: Go to the research facility • Go Back... After a quick stop at the reception to see if the Inteleon was in home, he made his way towards the research wing. The place always stood out from the rest of the guild, it's rocky halls painted white with almost a sterile look ro them, weird sounds coming from the rooms, strange looking artifacts being transported from one place to another; things you would expect from a laboratory.
After a quick travel through the halls, Alexander finally arrived to Silc's “office" which was more of a personal lab for the inteleon that also served as the place where he ran all the administrative things related to the research wing. Advantages of being the head researcher one could guess.
Alexander knocked on the door which was quickly responded by a familiar voice. “It's open, come on in.”
The riolu did as told and made himself welcome into the lab. It was a fairly spacious room, with tables filled with strange looking glasses, odd liquids, funny looking artifacts and more. At the end of the room was a desk with all sorts of papers and books scattered around, Silc wasn't the kind of pokemon that kept things tidy. In one of the tables was the inteleon, wearing a long white coat, some protective glasses and a green scarf that covered his neck since his times as an adventurer. Silc was currently examining a skull of some kind with the help of some specialized equipment, probably a fossil from a long extinct pokemon. The inteleon put the skull aside as he noticed the riolu standing in his entrance. “Oh but if it's Alexander, what brings you here young courier?” He said with a warm smile.
“Hi Silc, i don't have any packages for you today but i need your help to understand an odd thing that happened during one of my travels.”
The inteleon’s curiosity peaked. “Well of course, please take a seat and tell me everything about it.” He leaded the riolu to a chair in front of his desk as he took seat on a big leathery armchair on the other side. Alexander proceeded to recall every detail of yesterday's incident, the inteleon was intrigued to say the least but he already seemed to have an answer. “hmmm, sounds like some kind of mind control ability to me, some psychic types are able to command other pokemon’s actions like you described…”
“Mind control? But i am not a psychic type, i dont even think i can even learn psychic moves.”
“Maybe is related to your aura. You always said that you are more capable of aura manipulation than even your lucario counterparts, so my hypotesis is that you unlocked some kind of latent ability. There are many cases in which pokemon release some unknown power that they don't knew they had in perilous circumstances.”
Alexander was facinated by this, did he really have such powers? “A hidden ability… to control other pokemon… are you sure i am capable of something like that?”
“Well it's impossible to know for certain if you don't do it again. Which leads me to the only possible option to solve this conundrum. A TEST!” The inteleon said with a very enthusiastic tone while jumping out of his chair.
“A test? Who would we be testing on?”
“On me of course!”
“WHAT? Are you mad? I cannot control these powers yet! What if something goes wrong? What if i can't undo it? What if-" Alexander said, flabbergasted by his friend's proposition.
“Easy my friend, in the scientific process, if we stopped from fear of the what ifs we would never learn anything. We must try in order to solve this mystery!” Silc said excitedly, he was always the kind to throw himself in danger in order to get even the slightless of discoveries.
“But why you? Why not a wild pokemon?”
“We must do this experiment in a controlled environment. Besides we don't know how much sentience the subject needs to have for this to work.”
“Silc… is this a kink of yours i am not aware of? Because you are making a lot of excuses right now.” The riolu said concerned, although with a little bit of teasing thrown in there.
The inteleon was speechless for a second, apearing very embarrassed. But he quickly deflected the question. “That is of no importance right now… we shall test this right now in the name of science!” He said as he dragged the riolu into the center of the lab where he proceeded to put two stools in.
“Ok ok, i'll do it. But if anything goes wrong it will be your fault…”
“Nonsense my friend, i am sure you will do just fine.” Silc proceeded to sit on one of the stools and motioned Alexander to sit on the other. “Ok then, now i want you to try to replicate the same feelings you had yesterday. Focus your aura and let it flow into me.” He said, exited for the possible outcomes.
“Fine… here goes nothing…” Alexander proceeded to raise his hand and pointed it to his friend. He concentrated on making some sort of aura sphere but canalizing his aura through it, he tried to emulate what he felt that night. His paw shined with a blue light as the riolu focused his aura through it, but it seemed that he put to much into it, as it was getting harder to concentrate. In a moment, a blue wispy like force was released from the riolu's hand and was shot straight into Silc's chest. Both of them fell from their seats as they blacked out…

Alexander grogily woke up, his head was killing him. “What happened? Why i am in the floor?” He thought to himself as he slowly got up. Something was weird… Everything in the room seemed smaller, he was wearing… clothes? And he felt… intelligent?
Alexander finally decided to look at himself, and what he saw was enough to snap him away from his confusion…
His paws were now long slender hands, his fur replaced by smooth scales, his torso was covered by a clean white lab coat that reached until his knees, his head was now longer and less wider with big eyes and a reptilian muzzle, a long yellow crest now adorned the top of his head, behind him a long slender blue tail swayed instead of his short fluffy one…
“I… i am… Silc?” Alexander said shocked at the same time he noticed his now deeper voice. But the shock in his face was soon reemplaced by a exited smile, not too different of what the inteleon used to make. “My powers worked! Even better than i expected too. I can put all my aura into a pokemon and control their body as if it were my own! This is amazing, my test was a success!” The new inteleon said with excitement. “I should go back to my body and tell Silc what happened…”
Alexander was making his way back to where his old body laid motionless, when he caught his reflection in one of the lab glasses. He approached curiously to see his new face, and after examining it for a moment, a sly grin formed on his face. He unbuttoned the lab coat he was wearing to reveal the inteleon’s slender yet toned body. He used his new hands to explore his new build. “Oh my oh my, Silc you have quite a body my friend. All this handsomeness wasted by being locked on your lab all day… Maybe i should take your body for a spin, try to see how your life is like… after all… this is what you wanted isn't it?” The new inteleon said with a teasing tone, it was nice to hear Silc's voice speaking this way. Alexander kept caressing his new body for a while as he thought on what to do next. He could keep Silc's body for a while, experiment what is like to be him… and use his attributes in all sorts of ways. But part of him felt bad taking away his friend's body without permission, maybe he should just go back to his body and maybe keep experimenting with his powers…
Ultimately, Alexander decided to…  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
