Chapter #4

Hanging around Kali

    by: Kentwolf Author IconMail Icon
As the loud blaring of his mother’s alarm clock drilled through his head, He realised he was still lying down, even though he had tilted his head up to look in all directions. Turning his gaze towards his body he was horrified by what he saw. His body was long and thin, it stretched out across the floor for about five feet. To his current tiny head size, it was as if his body had been stretched out like taffy and went on forever. As he stared in horror at his body, there was a loud boom, making him flinch as a foot landed to the left of his head, making the floor shake ever so slightly. He then glanced up and saw another foot descending towards him.

In a desperate attempt to not have his face smashed flat by his mothers bare foot, he jerked to the side with all his might, managing to flip over a second before the foot hit the floor. This meant he was now lying face down and struggled to tilt his head in a decent position to look. But he heard his mother getting up and then begin to walk across the room. Thankfully she managed to avoid stepping on his long body that snaked across her floor.

As he heard her booming footfalls move around the room, Billy tried to flip himself back over, but with his head face down and not able to angle as well, it was proving more difficult. He needed to find that remote and undo this mess. He peered forwards, looking under the bed to try to spot where it fell. As he glanced around he heard a knock on the bedroom door behind him and the sound of his sister Kali’s voice.

“Hey Mom, I wanted to wear a dress today but I can’t find the ribbon for the one I chose. Do you have one I can borrow?” She asked as Billy began trying to inch forwards with his head, his short, stubby arms and legs practically useless for dragging his body towards the bed.

“Hmm, I’m not...oh, theres a peach one on the floor. Will that do?” His mother asked as Billy felt her fingers loop around his body and he froze, realising with panic that she had mistaken his stretched out skintone for a peach coloured ribbon.

“Oh that will be perfect, thanks Mom.” Kari declared happily as his mother scooped him from the floor. As she did his body bowed and he felt his back crack between every spinal joint as if he had gone to the chiropractor. It felt both amazing and terrifying at the same time as his body barely moved as he shuddered from the cracking sensation, not that it seemed the loud pops were audible to the full sized women manhandling him. By the time he had come to his senses, he found that his mother was already passing him over to his sister, neither of which seemed to realise he wasn’t a ribbon, but being swung around as they moved him, he was too nauseous to call out to them and reveal his misshapen fate to them.

He felt Kali’s hands wrap around him, squeezing his chest between her fingers as she thanks their mother and carried him from the bedroom. His vision swam as his long thin neck swung back and forth, the hallway a blur of motion at the speed Kali was carrying him. It was probably a casual stroll to her, but at his current shape and size it felt like he was being pulled outside a passenger jet.

When she got back to her bedroom, he glanced sideways in a daze, seeing the dress on the hanger, it was dark blue, almost black except where the light hit the shimmering material. He could see a loop on either side of the waist and knew what was coming next. Kali calmly grabbed his head, painfully crushing his face under her fingertips, feeding it through the loop and began pulling his body through, holding on to his scalp.

Billy wanted to cry out in pain but he was still too winded from how tightly she had been crushing his chest as she brought him in here. He was powerless to stop as he was slipped through the other loop, before his head and feet were left to dangle down behind the dress. His face brushed against the fabric of the dress, at least that felt soft to the touch, but all he could see from this angle was the blue material.

He heard the sound of fabric shifting and being thrown aside, before the sound of a zipper resonated down from above. He realised that she was going to get dressed. He took a deep ragged breath, his body dangling awkwardly before trying to cry out for help. What escaped his mouth however was a long, whispery rasp, barely audible to his own ears. His lungs were too far away from his mouth and his vocal chords were stretched out oddly, making it very difficult to make any noticeable sounds.

The world lurched as it dropped slightly, the dress being taken off of the hanger as he groaned. The fabric rustled as his sister stepped into it and then the world lurched back up as she lifted it, slipping the straps over her shoulders. Then the worst part came, as he felt her hands slide against his body and take hold. In a casual and calm manner, Kali pulled his body she thought was a ribbon taut against her dress, before she began to loop and knot his body. He felt it pop and certainly felt the pain filled cracks that made his eyes water as his body parts were bent and twisted in ways they shouldn’t be.

After twenty seconds of eternal agony, Kali had managed to tie off his body into a elegant knot, leaving his head under the bow that consisted of his torso and lower body knotted together. With the knot tight, he found air was almost impossible to draw in. He had to gasp and take short quick breathes to get any air intake at all. His vision was a little spotty, but all he could do was focus on breathing.

Billy was light headed, in a lot of pain and severely panicked. He had to find some way back to that remote to undo this, but it was under his mothers bed and he was wrapped around his unaware sister, about to be taken who knows where as she went about her day.

All he could see was fabric as it shifted with his sister’s motions. He listened to her casually hum to herself as she headed downstairs and then the fluffing up of the material around him as she sat at the breakfast table while she enjoyed herself a filling meal. His vision kept swimming, the edges of his vision going dark between breathes. He somehow had to keep his body conscious until she unknotted him or he might end up not waking up.

He dangled there, wondering how he could possibly escape this stupid mess while his sister enjoyed her breakfast. He heard her chatting to their Mom, though he still could only see the fabric of the dress his face was positioned towards. He tried again to make a sound, but he barely had enough air to remain awake, let alone waste it on a tiny squeak they couldn’t hear anyway.

As Kali stood up, her belly full and her plate empty, she brushed her hands to smooth out the fabric and crushed his head and legs against it. Billy could only pray for a miracle to help him escape spending a day as his sister’s sentient ribbon, fighting to stay alive as she went about her day...
