This was his best time to get her. No one else was around, and they were far enough away that no one should randomly show up here. It was like fate wanted him to have his only little subservient Faunus. Cardin stood up from his hiding place and walked forward. At first, Velvet didn’t notice, but one of her ears twitched. She just probably didn’t care about people walking around. Her back was still turned to him.
That needed to be changed.
“Well, look who it is. The little rabbit who escaped the zoo.”
Instantly, Velvet froze, and the bird took off at the sudden noise.
“What, you’re not going to say hi to me?” Cardin mocked, stepping forward. “Didn’t anyone teach you manners?” All he needed to do was get her to turn around and look him in the eyes.
“C-Cardin, what are you doing here?” Velvet squeaked, her head looking to the left and right, as if trying to find help or an escape route.
“I saw you all by yourself and thought you needed company,” Cardin said, narrowing his eyes because she was still not turning around.
“I’m good, thank y-you.” Velvet stammered.
“Come on, there’s no need to be so rude.” Cardin huffed. “Can’t even look at me?”
Finally, the girl turned around and the fear on her face was evident. But that was also kind of cute after all. Cardin wanted a lusty Faunus girl who was more like a horny pet that loved and feared him. The moment Velvet turned around and opened her mouth to say something, their eyes locked. That was when the girl made the fatal mistake. Cardin focused his power and Velvet froze, her mouth still open, as her eyes seemed to dim as she went into a mindless trance.
“It worked… I can’t believe it.” Cardin gasped, maintaining eye contact. “Okay, what order should I give her?”
