Later that evening Tim layed upon his bed staring at his celing he couldn't help but have his toughts consumed by the test "Pish ain't no way they'd put you back in preschool for flopping the test." Tim mocked confidently as he jumped out of his bed.
Over hearing the statement, Daniel, his three year old brother, toddled into his room. "Are you talking about the national placement test?" Tim jumped a little. Furrowing his eyes as he looked down at the little brat infront of him. He spoke "How did you know about the test REJECT!" Daniel simply placed his hands on his hips and rolled his eyes. "Every school in the country is taking it, even mine!" Tim burst bright red in embarrassment. He should have realized that what with the scope of the test being a national event.
Tim did not hate his brother but he did despise how well his parents treated him. Being much more experienced parents this time around they were soft gentle and dotting on Daniel. Things they never were for Tim. Meanwhile, Daniel didn't particularly respect his big brother. Daniel was born with a surprisingly strong work ethic and urge to grow up, and become better. As such he looked down on his big brothers covetious jealousy of and easy pampered life. "Gunna use the test to move up into college, they'll have to accept my thesis once I score high." Tim could only roll his eyes "for a kid so smart your still naive, they'll bump you up to 1st grade at best. They can't have a 3 year old in college!" With that Tim blew right past his brother as he went about his normal evening.
