Ninten tosses and turns, suffocating in the never-ending feather quilt. He sits up and rubs his bleary eye, he can't sleep and to be honest.. he wishes he wasn't the only one up. Both Lloyd and Ana are sleeping, no stir coming from their beds. Maybe it's just the stuffy blanket, or perhaps the muffled city noise coming from the streets below.
There's an overwhelming feeling gnawing at his stomach, almost like a swirling whirlpool decided to make his body it's home. And, for one of the only times in his adventure, he suddenly misses his mom. Whenever something like this would happen, he likes to go to his mom for help since he's honestly a momma's boy, even if he doesn't want to admit it...But now, he's on his own.
Ninten sighs, and stumbles to the bathroom. He sees his reflection in the glass mirror, he looks worn out, hair sticking up in multiple places and his eyes are puffy and dark. Something churns in his stomach, and he sits down on the marble floor for some temporary relief. Then, Ninten suddenly realizes that Lloyd might have some medicine left over from Youngtown. He tries to stand up and, like lightning strike, his head begins spinning which results in Ninten tumbling back to the floor.
He rolls onto his side and... bangs his forearm on the wall.
...huh?
"W-what's going on?" Ninten stammered. He was sure he was in the middle of the room, not up against the wall. Now that he realizes it... the whole room seems a bit... closer to him.
"This has to be a dream, right?" he mumbled, looking down. "Wait... is the room shrinking? No, it can't be..."
Ninten makes one last attempt to get on his feet again, and to his surprise, it's successful. However, there's something else wrong.
The room isn't shrinking... he's growing.
"Oh, nononono-" Ninten claws at his face, feeling helpless. An emotion he hates feeling.
The door creeks open, introducing the presence of someone else. Someone who will see what he's becoming, someone who would most likely attack him or run away immediately. They're his friends and he cannot afford to scare them half to death. He's huge already, and he's sure he'll grow more, hell, he's near twice the size of his previous height of 5 ft. And, he does the only logical thing... He slams the door as quickly as possible, and, underestimating his strength, it whips back like an elastic.
"Hey! A little warning next time, Ninten!" It's Lloyd, and Ninten immediately starts to panic even further.
"Uhm, sorry dude..." Ninten sputtered.
"Are you okay in there? You sound sick, should I go get the medicine?" Lloyd proposed, unaware of the situation.
"No- I'm fine."
"You sure? You wanna talk or somethin'?"
